North Morowali – General Chairperson of the Wita Mori Customary Council, North Morowali Regency, Siwadarman Tamanampo stated that he was very concerned about the clash at PT GNI last Saturday (14/1).
Not only that, he also rejects acts of violence and anarchism that are carried out when trying to solve a problem.
“I am very concerned and regret the incident that occurred at PT GNI a few days ago. In essence, we firmly reject acts of violence and anarchy in seeking solutions to problems between employees and PT GNI,” he said.
Siwadarman also hopes that the company and employees can respect the Wita Mori custom which highly values deliberation and consensus.
“We expect PT GNI and its employees to implement and comply with laws and regulations regarding employment and respect the cultural customs of the Wita Mori which uphold deliberation and consensus,” continued the Ketum of the Wita Mori Customary Council.
same vein, the Head of Petasia Sub- District of North Morowali Regency, Novrianto Najamudin , also firmly rejected the acts of violence and anarchism that occurred at PT GNI.
Then he supported the hard work that had been done by the security forces in creating a conducive situation again.
“I firmly reject the acts of violence and anarchy that occurred at PT GNI. And I support the efforts of the TNI-Polri in creating a conducive situation,” he said.
Novrianto hopes that employees at PT GNI will be able to work as before and he admits that the government will provide facilities regarding the rights and obligations of employees.
“I hope that the employees working at PT GNI carry out their work as usual. Regarding matters relating to rights and obligations, it can be discussed and the government is present to facilitate,” said the Petasia sub-district head .
Meanwhile, the Head of Tompira Village , Petasia Timur Subdistrict, North Morowali, Moh Sufran appealed to all people to continue to be able to maintain conduciveness .
“I urge and invite the whole community, more specifically PT GNI employees to continue to maintain security stability so that it remains conducive, creating a safe investment climate,” he appealed.
According to him, the events that have occurred at PT GNI can be a valuable lesson for all parties.
“The events that are happening at PT GNI are currently a valuable lesson for all parties. Together, we will create a safe investment climate in North Morowali,” continued Moh Sufran .
On different occasions, representatives of the East Petasia sub-district community also appealed to the whole community to be able to continue to maintain security stability.
“We condemn the action at PT GNI North Morowali Regency and we appeal to all people in North Morowali Regency and especially in Petasia Timur District to maintain security stability in this area,” he said.
Not only that, but they also appealed to good coordination and consultation if problems occur between companies and employees.
