The transformation of financial governance in Indonesia is a top priority for President Prabowo Subianto’s administration. With the determination to create a clean, efficient, and transparent bureaucracy, various strategic steps have been launched to ensure that the state budget is managed with high accountability, so that the potential for corruption can be minimized. This step not only builds public trust in the government, but also creates a solid foundation for sustainable development.

The Ministry of Home Affairs (Kemendagri) in collaboration with the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has demonstrated a real commitment to fostering and supervising regional financial governance. This initiative involves improving the digital-based planning and budgeting system through the MCP ( Monitoring Control for Prevention ) application that monitors the performance of corruption prevention programs. This approach aims to ensure that the use of grant funds, social assistance, and financial assistance is carried out transparently and on target. The use of technology such as the Regional Government Information System (SIPD) is key to mitigating the risk of fraud and supporting the efficiency of regional financial management.

This system is not only a monitoring tool, but also a mechanism that encourages digital transformation in the management of the Regional Revenue and Expenditure Budget (APBD). The transparency resulting from the use of SIPD facilitates access to information from planning to financial reporting, so that all stakeholders have valid and accountable data. This is a real manifestation of bureaucratic reform promoted by President Prabowo to combat the root causes of corruption in the regions.

At the village level, similar steps are taken by providing intensive education to Village Credit Institutions (LPD) and Village-Owned Enterprises (BUMDes). The Buleleng District Attorney’s Office, for example, held a socialization on good financial governance as a preventive effort to prevent corruption. This approach is important considering the strategic role of village financial institutions in supporting the local economy.

Head of the Buleleng District Attorney’s Office, Edi Irsan Kurniawan, emphasized the importance of this education so that there are no more cases of misuse of funds at the village level. The commemoration of World Anti-Corruption Day which was celebrated together with this activity reflects a collective commitment to creating an anti-corruption culture.

The government is also strengthening supervision in the procurement of goods and services sector, an area that is often prone to corruption. The Ministry of Transportation, for example, is holding training for commitment-making officials (PPK) to improve their competence and integrity.

Deputy Minister of Transportation, Suntana, stated that this initiative is a concrete step in building a clean and integrity-based bureaucracy. Anti-corruption education for PPK ensures that budget management and procurement of goods are carried out with the principles of caution and responsibility.

President Prabowo emphasized that efforts to eradicate corruption require a holistic approach involving all elements of government and society. At the policy level, various regulations have been issued to strengthen regional financial management. Government Regulation Number 12 of 2019 concerning Regional Financial Management, which is strengthened by Permendagri Number 77 of 2020, provides clear technical guidance for regional governments in managing budgets transparently. The implementation of this regulation is closely monitored to ensure there is no room for corrupt practices.

In addition, synergy between government institutions is a determining factor in the success of good financial governance. Cooperation between the Ministry of Home Affairs and the Corruption Eradication Commission, for example, emphasizes the importance of managing grant funds in accordance with the principle of by name by address, in order to prevent the emergence of fictitious names or activities. Good coordination is also seen in efforts to draft regulations on grants, social assistance, and financial assistance, where the nomenclature and implementation must be in accordance with field facts and statutory regulations.

President Prabowo also encouraged anti-corruption education in various levels of society, including the younger generation. The “Jaksa Menyapa” program implemented by the District Attorney’s Office in several regions is one real example. This activity provides an early understanding of the importance of integrity and responsibility in managing public resources. This step aims to build collective awareness of the dangers of corruption and create a generation with high morality.

The transformation of financial governance promoted by President Prabowo is not only about preventing corruption, but also an effort to create an effective government. With a clean and efficient bureaucracy, development can run optimally and the community can feel the benefits directly. This effort shows that the government under President Prabowo’s leadership is not only committed, but also capable of implementing strategic steps to ensure that Indonesia is free from the clutches of corruption.

In the journey to realize clean financial governance, challenges are certainly unavoidable. However, synergy between the central government, regional governments, and the community is the main capital to face these challenges. President Prabowo has shown a strong commitment to strengthening this collaboration, through a strategic and data-based approach. With the support of all parties, Indonesia’s vision as a country free from corruption can be realized.

The success of the transformation of financial governance during President Prabowo’s leadership era is an important milestone in building a more advanced Indonesia. This effort not only has an impact on preventing corruption, but also provides a strong foundation for economic growth and improving people’s welfare. With transparency and accountability as the main principles, clean financial governance will be an important pillar in strengthening national sovereignty and creating a brighter future for all Indonesian people.
