Minister of Justice and Human Rights: Penitentiary of Palangka Raya (Lapas) as Example Project of horticulture.

Palangka Raya, Central Borneo – After union harvest some months ago, now, LAPAS Palangka raya repeat harvest again. But, it was different harvest. They harvest catfish and horticulture.

Before it, Banten and Central Borneo province has been decided by the minister of Justice and Human Right (MENKUMHAM) and Indonesian Bank (BI) to be example project to developing horticulture through penitentiary (LAPAS).

But, in fact, Central Borneo province became first which took this project in the Lapas class II A Palangka Raya. And then, they succeeded running this project.

Menkumham, Yasona Hamonangan Laoly, like quote on Borneo News, Saturday (7/3) said that he was very appreciated to governor of Central Borneo of his achievement.

“I really appreciate it to Central Borneo province by command of Teras Narang, because he did this project, and then, he succeeded good to his job,” said him when gave speech in Training of Trainer (TOT) for Lapas staff in the Jaya Tingah Hall, governor office Central Borneo.

In his speech, he also stated that it was a responsible to all units when built and train prisoner and ex-prisoner. But, most of it, people still suspects them as evil man.

“We give label to them as ex-prisoner and evil man, meanwhile, on the Lapas, they have trained to be kind people and has capability. But, when they come out, most of us do not accept them in the middle of us,” said him

He suggests that never give them label as evil man or they will become evil man again.

On the other hand, Governor of Central Borneo, Agustin Teras Narang wishes this cooperation will continue goodly. It was because this program was very important to increase economic developing, decrease poor number and decrease unemployment.
