CIDISS- Government’s plan to stop temporarily or moratorium the permit granting to the extension of mining and plantations of Palm oil, it is assumed will have an impact on economic growth in the region. One of them is the absorption of Labor.

It is delivered by the Regional Secretary (Sekda) of East Kotawaringin Regency (Kotim), Putu Sudarsana said that besides inhibit the absorption of labor, the moratorium will also threaten the investment opportunities.

“Yes obviously hampered. So investors will stop the absorption of labor, value turnover also decrease. It is certain that, already the formula and became the law of nature, “he said as quoted in Borneo News.co.id.

The main purpose of the moratorium was to maintain environmental conditions, especially forests. In addition, the Kotim County Government alone will verify the 45 company licenses Palm and 11 mining permits.
