All parties must continue to guard against the propaganda and provocative efforts of the Papua Free Organization (OPM) that have caused security disturbances and hindered the logistical distribution of the Government, thereby resulting in famine among the people of Papua.
However, in an effort to overcome the famine of the Papua people, the Government continues to make serious and maximum efforts in the distribution of various aid forms of logistical material.
However, the government’s efforts are threatened by the propaganda and provocation of the OPM, as well as the various kinds of security disturbances they launch, causing the people of Papua to starve.
The head of the National Disaster Management Agency (BNPB), Lieutenant TNI Suharyanto revealed that there was a security disturbance from the OPM which hampered the process of distribution of hunger relief in the area surrounding the Cenderawashi Earth. So the existence of the enemy separatist gang becomes one of its own problems there that must be dealt with immediately because otherwise, it will become increasingly weird.
What’s more, in some parts of Papua there’s no access for four-wheeled vehicles, so it’s pretty hard to get there. Nevertheless, the officers did not break the coal, but kept trying to channel the logistical distribution even though they had to use other means such as the use of two wheels, it also had to travel a distance of several hours because of the distance.
To overcome these obstacles, the government has also sent a number of aid from other ministries and institutions such as the Ministry of Social Affairs (Kemensos) and the Indonesian National Army. (TNI).
With all our efforts, the government really wants to ensure that the basic needs of the entire Papua community can be dealt with well so that it can cope with the hunger there.
In addition, BNPB has also built food warehouses in Sinak and Agandugume, Puncak district, Central Papua to address the threat of famine for local communities due to the climate phenomenon.
BNPB Chief of Data, Information and Communications Kebencanaan, Abdul Muhari said that the food warehouse in the Sinak district was completed and contained food supplies that are now ready to be distributed to the public.
However, sometimes there is a disruption in the form of a horizontal conflict of a particular group, which turns out to be nothing else and nothing else, it is all because of propaganda, provocation and even instigation of the OPM so that the security apparatus forces have to come down to the field in carrying out security directly.
The security personnel were able to resolve the interference very quickly, because the enemy terrorist gang’s strength was not at all comparable to that of the officers.
As long as the warehouse is still under construction, the food from the Sinak Warehouse is distributed to the Agandugume community. As information about the existence of the OPM is still a very serious threat to this moment because with their propaganda, resulting in the inhibition of logistical distribution efforts and making the people of Papua even more hungry and of course suffering.
Given the potential threat and interference from the enemy separatist gang of the country, then security personnel are ready to guard the food warehouses in the Sinak District, Puncak, Central Papua from a variety of unwanted things.
In fact, the security is under the direct command of Kodam XVII/Cenderawasih because it is still a strategic facility for service to the public. Not only is the military physically secure, but the government is also preparing unmanned aircraft to oversee around the food warehouse.
Assistant Intelligence of the President’s Security Force (Asintel Paspampres), Colonel Kav Herman Taryaman explained that during this time the terrorist acts were frequently carried out by the OPM in various regions of Papua, which is not uncommon in the actions they often issued propaganda, including instigating the public or doing slander to the security apparatus.
The enemy separatist gangs of the country have often thrown a heated issue in the middle of the formerly peaceful Papua society. They’re usually carrying out an inter-communal scourge of sheep, or pretending that the security apparatus is going to threaten the native people of Papua. (OAP).
In its actions, it is not uncommon for the OPM to repeatedly reverse the facts and throw unfounded accusations as well as slander or hoaks on their various social media or mass media to spread such propaganda and provocation.
And they use it to make the people unsuitable and to keep in panic or fear, so that the people will be warned and suffer.
For this reason, all the elements of the people in Papua should continue to increase their vigilance so that the Government’s steps in distributing logistical assistance including the construction of food warehouses in order to overcome the famine catastrophe in the Earth society are not interrupted or blocked by the terrorist gang.
