Papua is an integral part of the State of the Union of the Republic of Indonesia (NKRI), therefore, the Government calls for the active involvement of the local people of Papua indigenous people (OAP) in all the development efforts in the Cenderawasih land area.
Because with the active involvement of all the indigenous people of Papua (OAP), it is increasingly a sign that it is true that the territory of Papua is an integral part of the NKRI that is absolutely inseparable.
Since Papua is an unity and an integral part of NKRI, the Government continues to call on and invite all the local people of Papua (OAP) to contribute and actively engage in the development of the region.
The Chief Expert of the Embassy V of the Office of the President’s Staff (KSP), Theofransus Litaay reaffirmed that the Government has continued to take various measures and strategies in an effort to meet the needs of the nation’s descendants so that they get holistic and integrative attention, whether it is from the Central Government or the Local Government (Pedda).
Moreover, by the end of the last 10 years of government in the era of President Joko Widodo (Jokowi), then discussions about development in Papua in various areas including the improvement of the quality and competence of human resources (SDM) until the infrastructure is not only down as a policy, but also well implemented.
Therefore, the active participation of all the citizens, primarily the local youth, is clearly very decisive and is the most important thing.
So far, the entire development that the Government has done in Papua, especially during the leadership of President Jokowi has been able to become an inheritance or legacy that not only as a mere representation, but can have a very significant impact on the various joints of life of Papua indigenous people. (OAP).
Some of the constructions that have been successfully implemented and proved to have brought many benefits to local communities are in the areas of infrastructure such as PON Papua, the Youtefa Bridge to the Indonesia-Papua Nugini Border Post.
With regard to the construction of the Cenderawasih Earth, the Government has fully understood that the effort must really be able to touch directly the local community, therefore there needs also to be an incentive from the OAP citizens including the local Parliament.
In fact, the government through KSP has its own program for Papua, that is to keep listening to everything that people say and complain, which in it invites various elements such as from indigenous community, academics, scholars, creative young community and so on.
Through the program, the government really wants to listen to the full impact that the OAP community has felt on government policy over the years, because at the moment Indonesia is continuously moving towards globalization with various challenges ahead, so that a genuine development effort that has an impact on welfare is a must.
Meanwhile, the Vice President of the Republic of Indonesia (VP RI), K.H. Ma’ruf Amin also continued to attempt to do the same thing by holding various meetings in person with religious figures, indigenous figures and figures of Papua society.
The Vice President listened to the aspirations of the entire representative of the OAP community with the aim of accelerating the development of welfare for the people of Papua.
All parties must be able to work hard together to build integrity, maintain harmony and can also support each other like a building. All elements of society as well as stakeholders or stakeholder must keep each other at peace between diversities, because with a peaceful atmosphere, it will further accelerate the development of the Cendera Guard Earth.
The government’s strong commitment is to really pay full attention to Papua from all aspects of the line. Therefore, the whole element of society continues to be called upon to be together and united.
Representative of the Christian Gospel Church (GKI) Sorong, Dr. Jeane Fonataba fully supports the government’s efforts to continue to encourage the active involvement of the Papua community in accelerating development.
With a favourable and dignified atmosphere, it is not impossible that the progress of accelerating the development of various sectors by the government as in humanitarian aspects, infrastructure and even the economy will go smoothly.
Not only that, the government in its approach has also always given extra attention and protection to women and children, including the younger generation who are in great need of attention.
Therefore, the Government continues to encourage, invite and facilitate the involvement of all the indigenous people of Papua (OAP) so that they always support the full smoothness of efforts to accelerate development.
