Although this election was colored by various dramas and black campaign attacks, it turned out that Jokowi was still getting more people’s votes than the challengers who had also fought for the presidential throne in the 2014 presidential election. with allegations that the 2019 Election was cheating, the victory of candidate number 01 Jokowi – Ma’ruf Amin was confirmed inevitable, especially with evidence that was not strong and the witnesses were not serious in giving statements to the Constitutional Court Justices.
The victory of the former Mayor of Surakarta was also the topic of a number of foreign media. One of them is the online news page of the United States, The New York Times through its article entitled “Joko Wins Re-election in Indonesia, Defeating Hard Line Former General”. But strangely some parties from his camp accused that the 2019 election was a lot of cheating, it certainly became a contradictory statement.

In its official decision, the KPU mentioned 154,257,601 national votes with a victory for candidate number 01 Jokowi – Ma’ruf Amin with the acquisition of 85,607,362 or 55.50 percent of the total national legitimate votes. Whereas Prabowo – Sandiaga gets 68,650,239 or 44.50 percent of the total national legitimate votes.
Substantially the Paslon 02 Prabowo – Sandiaga claim in 2019 will not be much different from the lawsuit filed in 2014. Where at that time Prabowo, who was paired with Hatta Rajasa, had already declared victory based on the results of his internal survey. However, Prabowo’s chances of winning his case at the Constitutional Court are far smaller than in 2014.
If in the end the Constitutional Court again refused the request of Prabowo’s party, then there would be no more loopholes for Prabowo – Sandiaga and the BPN to bring the dispute back to law. This is because the constitution has stipulated that the Constitutional Court’s decision is a final and binding decision, if the claim does not make Prabowo – Sandi as President and Vice President, then Jokowi – Ma’ruf’s victory is just a matter of time.
