JAKARTA – Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono’s (AHY) assessment of the performance of President Joko Widodo’s government is still considered premature.
Recently, Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono (AHY) conveyed his assessment of the performance of President Joko Widodo’s administration which was considered premature by several senior politicians.
Responding to this assessment, Deputy Chairman of the United Development Party (PPP) Arsul Sani who is also a senior politician said that AHY’s speech was still too early.
“AHY’s assessment of a number of Jokowi-Ma’ruf government programs in his recent political speech is a premature assessment, both regarding the program as a policy choice and its success,” he said
“Why premature? Because the Jokowi-Ma’ruf government is an ongoing government, it has not yet completed its government period,” said Arsul.
On the other hand, Senior PDIP Politician Junimart Girsang asked AHY to prove which government programs had so far not had an impact on the common people.
“First, if there is a statement saying that Pak Jokowi is not pro-little people, please prove it. Which little people have complained about Pak Jokowi’s government,” said Junimart.
Furthermore, the premature statement made by AHY regarding the performance of the Jokowi-Ma’ruf government in his speech was denied by the Chairman of the West Java Golongan Karya Party (Golkar) DPD, Ace Hasan Syadzily.
“There are no policies made by the president or Jokowi’s government that are carried out in stages, all of the president’s policies must go through a review process and clear study visibility,” explained Ace.
In fact, Ace considered that the people were actually satisfied with the Jokowi government’s policies.
“And I think that if I look at what the Jokowi government has done, many are judged by the public, in fact the people are very satisfied with the performance of the Jokowi government,” he said.
On another occasion, AHY gave criticism which considered that it was as if the debt owned by the Government was continuing to swell.
He also stated that the Government was still lacking in conducting elections or prioritizing something.
Even though it is very clear that the assessment made by the Ketum of the Democratic Party is a very premature assessment.
In fact, clear evidence shows that until now, all ordinary people continue to show their satisfaction with how the government is performing during the era of President Jokowi’s leadership.
And of course, the various kinds of policies enacted by the government are impossible without conducting a comprehensive and in-depth study beforehand.
