May 21 and 22 a few days ago incised a dark history in the course of the country of Indonesia, especially a journey as a democratic country, which for the past 20 years has been used as a model for other countries that want to become modern democracies.
Appreciation from abroad as a democracy is marked that Indonesia has been a democratic country with economic growth above 5% since the last two decades, making it the third highest economic growth country after India and China, and able to maintain the stability of government and security created for 20 years last one.
The flattery of Indonesia as the third largest democracy in the world (after India and America) was almost instantly extinct due to the events of May 21 and 22, with anarchic actions which initially argued for peaceful demonstrations. Protests against Bawaslu which they said were fraudulent in a structured, systematic and massive election, but in fact the guise which Amien Rais cs cited as People Power, was later replaced with the Action of Kedaulatan Rakyat, turned into an anarchy action which caused 8 fatalities and damage to public and private facilities and the cessation of economic activities in several places in Jakarta.
The call for People Power was echoed several times before the events of May 21-22, then several other figures from faction 02 stated that they did not believe in the Constitutional Court Session, so that people power was needed like the events of May 1998. However, ironically people were asked to act alone , so that when something happens the community inevitably has to take responsibility for themselves. This certainly raises questions, what kind of power model people will do? It turned out that what happened on May 21-22 2019 was riots, arson, looting, road closure and finally 8 fatalities.
When victims fall, none of the leaders of PEOPLE POWER is willing to take responsibility, even evading by stating that “it is not what we recommend”, and other sentences which essentially evade responsibility. Now security forces and law enforcement are investigating and carried out an investigation of who was the mastermind behind the May 21-22 riot, but the intellectual actors will be revealed from the anarchy action, which could not be moved by ghosts, because all the perpetrators who were captured were humans. at least his ghost-like face so that he could make the people their accomplices.
