Jakarta – The working visits of Indonesia’s 8th President, Prabowo Subianto, to various countries have received widespread attention from both domestic and international communities. Public support and appreciation continue to flow, showing the nation’s pride in Prabowo’s active role in international diplomacy and commitment to advancing Indonesia’s interests in the global arena.
Political analyst Ujang Komaruddin explains that Prabowo’s steps in building good relations with various countries are a manifestation of his experience and intelligence as a leader.
“If we analyze and observe what Mr. Prabowo has done as the 8th President of Indonesia, it has impressed all Indonesian people. He has experience, good relations with many countries, many world leaders,” said Ujang.
Komaruddin also added that Prabowo’s humble attitude when interacting with Indonesian citizens in America left a deep impression that further aroused national pride.
On the other hand, in his visit to China, Prabowo chose this friendly country as the first country he visited, affirming China’s strategic position for Indonesia in the world’s geopolitical map.
Professor of International Relations at UI, Fredy Buhama Lumban Tobing, stated that this visit has strategic significance for Indonesia.
“It’s interesting because China is the first friendly country visited by Mr. Prabowo as the 8th President of Indonesia. The invitation from the Chinese government is a form of China’s recognition of Prabowo as the President of Indonesia,” he said.
This step shows Prabowo’s seriousness in positioning Indonesia as a link between the interests of major countries and developing countries.
In bilateral meetings, Prabowo also ensured that cooperation between Indonesia and China would cover many strategic sectors, from education to business and economic collaboration.
Previously, President Prabowo affirmed that this relationship would prioritize the principle of being free and active, remaining impartial, and committed to regional stability.
Meanwhile, Prabowo’s visit to the United States discussed a very important issue for world peace, namely the Palestine conflict. Prabowo emphasized Indonesia’s commitment to supporting an inclusive two-state solution as the best solution to resolve the Palestine-Israel conflict, which was also agreed upon with US President Joe Biden. This shows Indonesia’s commitment to the universal human values upheld by Prabowo.
“Indonesia will play a role in bridging the interests of developing countries with developed countries. Of course, within the framework of good neighbor policy,” said the Minister of Communication and Digital Affairs (Menkomdigi), Meutya Hafid.
With various agreements reached during this working visit, including cooperation in the fields of economy, education, and defense, as well as commitment to world peace, President Prabowo’s visit not only makes Indonesian people proud but also strengthens Indonesia’s position on the international stage.
