Jakarta – After the end of the 2024 Simultaneous Regional Election process, the public is asked to focus on unity for the sake of sustainable regional development.
Acting Governor of East Kalimantan, Akmal Malik, emphasized the importance of maintaining security and peace in his region.
Akmal invited all parties, both the community and political contestants, to unite again to achieve common goals.
“Security and peace in East Kalimantan Province are more important, therefore all parties must work together to maintain it so that a great East Kalimantan province can be achieved,” said Akmal Malik.
He hopes that the completion of the regional elections will be a moment to shift focus to development that will bring progress to East Kalimantan.
Meanwhile, Jambi Governor Al Haris reminded the importance of stopping the debate on the election results. He rejected all forms of excessive euphoria and invited the community to work together in developing Jambi.
“Now is the time for us to work together to build the Jambi that we love, no more compartmentalization. Now is the time for us to focus on building Jambi. So let’s not talk about the regional elections that are over,” said Al Haris.
Al Haris also appreciated the peaceful running of the Jambi Pilkada, despite some unrest in several places.
He emphasized that all parties, including candidates who did not win, must embrace each other and work together for the progress of Jambi.
“Now let’s not talk about the regional elections anymore, it’s all over. Now we are focusing again on how the sustainability of Jambi’s development can run well,” he added.
A similar appeal was conveyed by the Secretary of Agam Regency, Edi Busti, who invited all people in his area to unite after the regional elections.
In his direction, Edi Busti emphasized that differences in choice during the regional elections should not divide society.
“The regional elections are over, let’s eliminate all differences that may arise due to different choices. It’s time for us to unite for the progress of our region,” said Edi Busti.
He reminded that the task of the government and society now is to maintain peace and focus on greater development for the Agam area.
With these various invitations, regional heads have shown a strong commitment to utilizing the post-election momentum as the right time to re-establish unity and work together for regional development.
