Nusa Dua – Appreciation from the foreign delegates continues after attending the 144th session of the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU) in Bali.
The reason is that Indonesia is considered capable of uniting various backgrounds of diverse countries in a forum and can establish good relations.
This was said by a Member of Parliament from Iceland named David Gunnlaugsson who admitted that he was impressed by the leader of the Indonesian representative, Puan Maharani.
According to him, Indonesia is currently very good because it already has people’s representatives who have succeeded in establishing good relations with all world groups despite being diverse.
“It is good that Indonesia has representatives of the people who are able to have good relations with a very diverse world group, as is currently happening,” said David.
It should also be noted that in the course of the trial, Indonesia itself has raised several important global issues to continue to encourage efforts to resolve them.
Then on another occasion, the Chairman of the Indonesian House of Representatives, Puan Maharani, stated that indeed the world is currently focusing on Indonesia and thinks that we are capable.
This is evidenced by the choice of the country as the host of major world events such as the 144th IPU.
Suddenly Puan added that the international community was feeling comfortable and safe when holding an important event in Indonesia.
“Of course this also proves that Indonesia is a country that is trusted by the international community because it is considered capable, comfortable and safe in organizing the 144th IPU,” said Puan Maharani, in her statement (25/3).
The PDI-Struggle politician then reiterated one thing that indeed Indonesia has had a lot of experience and adequate facilities for organizing large events.
“Indonesia has a lot of experience and also adequate facilities in organizing large events,” he said.
For him, Indonesia’s achievements during the 144th IPU event which was just closed on Thursday afternoon were on target, even the praises that had been given to foreign delegates from various countries made Indonesia successful in eradicating the stigma that had been attached to it.
The stigma is about Indonesia which seems to only have abundant natural resources.
However, it turns out that our human resources also deserve to be taken into account for progress.
“This also dispels the stigma that Indonesia does not have abundant natural resources, but its human resources can also be taken into account for the progress of Indonesia,” explained Puan.
