Papua – The construction of the Papua Youth Creative Hub (PYCH) Building in the Abepura District, Jayapura City, Papua has been completed. The building is now ready to be inaugurated directly by President Joko Widodo.
The PYCH building was initiated by the Head of BIN, General Pol (Purn) Prof. Budi Gunawan, SH, MSi together with President Ir. H. Joko Widodo to accommodate people’s creativity. Now, its existence is also enthusiastically welcomed by the youth and people of Papua.
This building will later be used and utilized by Inspiring Young Papua (PMI) in carrying out its work programs for the welfare of the people in Papua and West Papua.
Various programs have been carried out by PMI together with BIN to increase the various potentials that exist in the Papua region. PMI and BIN have implemented various successful programs including those in agriculture, animal husbandry, MSMEs, and education.
A laying hen breeder, Maria Fransisca Tambingo, said that the assistance provided by BIN to the young generation of Papua through the PMI program was very useful.
“Until now there are 18 locations of laying hen farms that have been built and fostered by inspiring young Papuans and the State Intelligence Agency which are spread across several points in Papua Province,” he said.
The Miss Indonesia 2014 finalist said that this laying hen farm is expected to continue to grow and be able to dominate the market in Papua. “As a laying hen breeder, I have a target that we native Papuans must dominate the egg market in Papua,” he said.
He also expressed his gratitude to President Joko Widodo and Head of BIN Budi Gunawan who care about the Papuan people and help support the development of self-sufficiency in Papua.
“On behalf of laying hen breeders in Papua Province, I would like to thank the President of the Republic of Indonesia, the heads of the State Intelligence Agency and the Ministry of Institutions who have supported inspiring young Papuans in developing self-sufficiency in Papua,” said Maria.
In addition, the Coordinator of Inspiring Young Papua or PMI for the Fakfak region, Abdul Wahab Iha said, PMI together with the Regional Government of Fakfak Regency, in support of the national program, have prepared cattle, livestock land and corn planting land.
“Currently, we, who are members of PMI, are running a cow workshop or cow kennel program for fattening cattle entrusted by the community,” he said.
Besides cattle breeding, PMI Fak Fak also produces canned fish. “In addition to the cattle shop and cattle day care, PMI in fak fak also runs a canned fish business,” he added.
With the presence of the PYCH Building, PMI and BIN can further develop the potentials that exist in Papua. This is because the building has very complete facilities to support the development of young Papuan talents.
The presence of the building is expected to be able to help the younger generation of Papua in making works and doing everything that can be done for the good of the people of the land of Papua.
