CIDISS (Pangkalan Bun) – The rubbish problem is general problem in any places. Rubbish often make any problem in many sector if there are no good care of it, such flood, health, etc. the behavior of people that throw rubbish in everywhere make more worst this rubbish problem.
In contrast, rubbish has economic value if there are good care and management. One of the economic values is; selling the rubbish in Rubbish Bank. Rubbish bank has slogan, “Stop throws rubbish in everywhere, better sell it in rubbish bank”.
In Kotawaringin Barat, Central Kalimantan Province, a regency that got Adipura trophy (trophy as clean regency/city of rubbish or good care to rubbish problem) has machine for recycling the rubbish. The machine is in rubbish bank. The rubbish bank is made by government and people.
Rubbish bank such kind of solution in caring of rubbish, people will not only has gotten information about handling care the rubbish, but also will get economic value.
Rubbish bank will buy plastic such bottle with IDR 1.500 per kilogram. In Rubbish bank, the rubbish will process into raffia and others, and it will sell it in entire Central Kalimantan province area.
Head of board for environment Kotawaringin Barat, Fahrizal Fitri said rubbish bank is cooperation with regional government.
Fahrizal Fitri explains, the machine has aim to make people understanding that rubbish has economic value, then they will not throw rubbish in anywhere. According to plan, the machine will be process plastic rubbish into raffia, and etc.
By the rubbish bank, people will get economic effect also.
