Tayan Kapuas Bridge: The making of longest bridge has finished

CIDISS – Good news for residents of West Kalimantan, The Ministry of public works and Housing has completed the construction of the bridge Kapuas Tayan in Sanggau Regency, West Kalimantan.  Moreover, the test of the bridge for skipping the vehicle has already underway since 19 February 2016 ago.

The bridge Kapuas Tayan connects West Kalimantan province with Central Kalimantan province through the Piasak village and village of Tayan of Tayan Hilir district, Sanggau regency. In addition, the bridge is very important because it connects South Trans Kalimantan that does not yet connected.

The total lengths of the bridge access roads are reaching 5.3 kilometers (km). While the bridge length reaching 1.42 km and consists of 2 sections of the bridge. The first part all is 280 meters with a width of 11.5 meters and the second part all is 1.14 km 11.5 meters in width. The bridge became the longest in Kalimantan.

The head of the implementing units of Work Bridges Kapuas Tayan, the Ministry of public works and Housing, Yudha Hadita, as quote on detikFinance, Thursday (03/03/2016) stated that the bridge has completed, instead been testing traffic now.

“Arguably the longest, Ya, in terms of the building. That is, the part of the bridge is indeed the longest float, “said Yudha.

The bridge is done by two contractors, namely the China Road and Bridge Corporation with PT Wijaya Karya Tbk. The development process runs from September 2012 with total costs reached IDR 1.023 trillion.

Yudha added the Bridge construction Kapuas Tayan is always evaluated every 2 weeks. In the Planning, President of Indonesian Republic Joko Widodo (Jokowi) will inaugurate the operation of the bridge.
