Although HTI has been officially banned from being in Indonesia. But their ideology still exists, this is evidenced by the presence of the former Hizb ut-Tahrir Indonesia (HTI) Spokesman Ismail Yusanto in Ijtima Ulama IV in Sentul Bogor.
When the program started, the first agenda was to listen to Habib Rizieq Shihab’s (HRS) lecture through a voice recording that was broadcast live on FrontTV’s Youtube account in Saudi Arabia.
In his remarks, Habib Rizieq said that the victory of Muslims had been seized at the 2019 Presidential Election. Therefore he asked his followers not to give up and continue to fight to win the fight.
The presence of the former HTI figure certainly strengthens the assumption that the FPI mass organization as one of the existing organizations in the ulema’s ijtima participated in supporting the Khilafah as HTI.
PA 212 Chair Slamet Maarif said, Ismail was deliberately invited because of consideration of the track record of his thoughts.
If this is the case, Ijtima Ulama IV certainly poses a threat to democracy, especially if they try to consult with former HTI spokespersons.
During the meeting FPI and PA 212 agreed to implement a sharia system and the enforcement of the khilafah, where the enforcement of the khilafah was an Islamic religious obligation.
The meeting was reportedly also discussing about the results of the Presidential Election, if it really is, of course Ijtima Ulama 4 does not have a legowo attitude to live in a democratic country, even though it is clear all disputes have been discussed even up to the realm of the constitutional court.
We all know that PA 212 is an Islamic group that actively supports Prabowo – Sandiaga during the 2019 Presidential Election. During the 2019 Presidential Election, they often became actors in political dramas that always disturbed the public’s attention.
The Ijtima Ulama that was held was aimed at determining various political attitudes during the 2019 Presidential Election. Until now, they have held the Ijtima Ulama 4 times.
But of all the Ijtima Ulama, there is not the slightest ijtima decision concerning spiritual, Islamic or religious, something that should be discussed and decided by the scholars in an implementation of Ijtima.
Although the program invited a number of scholars, discussions in the event tended to be worldly and political. Regarding who will be supported and their strategy in defeating their political opponents, not necessarily trying to make Indonesia peaceful in the differences.
If we look at Ijtima Ulama 1, at that time they had recommended PKS Syuro Council Chairperson Salim Segaf Al Jufri to become a vice-presidential candidate to accompany Prabowo Subianto. But the recommendation seemed raw until finally Sandiaga Uno was the one who accompanied the General Chairperson of the Gerindra party.
Although there was a bit of disappointment, but the support of PA 212, FPI and GNPF scholars was never relaxed, even when Prabowo called not to come to the Court, they continued to fight, and “jihad” to come to the Court.
But what happened, Prabowo still lost, and had admitted victory for Jokowi, the two political rivals had made peace, hugged and ate together. But the Ulama who shelter Ijtima Ulama still showed their dislike, to consider Prabowo a traitor. It was strange that an attempt to be peaceful was even hostile.
In the third Ijtima Ulama, the discussion was also not about spirituality, but again – politics was still a conversation that was constantly fried in the forum. They have assumed that the 2019 Presidential Election has been underway in a Structured, Systematic and Massive TSM. So they demanded the Court to disqualify Jokowi – Ma’ruf Amin.
Then what exactly do they organize for Ijtima Ulama, if the association is used as a mask for their personal interests and for their political interests. Don’t tell them they support Prabowo as a vehicle so that Indonesia becomes a Khilafah country, if that’s what it’s called if it’s not an evil act.
Because after all Indonesia stands on diversity, ethnicity and religion. Pancasila is final and cannot be contested, the motto of Unity in Diversity should be internalized by all people in Indonesia. With this view of life, it is fitting for us to question the intentions of the ulama’s ijtima.
