Choirul Fuadi, Central Kalimantan, CIDISS – The government of Palangka Raya through Education and Cultural Board of Palangka Raya give day off to the students of Kindergarten and Elementary school. This step took to anticipate the haze effect to the health of their students.
Like quote in Antara News Kalteng, Friday (11/9/2015), secretary of Education and Cultural board Palangka Raya, Mahlani explain that students of kindergarten and Elementary school are off till next week.
Mahlani added that the day off only for student, on the other hand, headmaster and teachers is not off. They work as usually, to prepare the learning.
She also explain that students of Junior and Senior High School is not off yet, but there are reduce of learning time, start at 9 am and finish at 1 pm.
Not only in Palangka Raya, Education and Cultural Board of Nanga Bulik, Lamandau regency also gives day off to all students till last Saturday. It was because the impact of haze.
But, Teachers hopes that parent always push their children to study in the home. (*)
