Jakarta – President Joko Widodo said that for 1 decade, his party has worked hard and finally succeeded in realizing Indonesia-Centric Development.
The Indonesia-centric development realized by President Jokowi was built from the outskirts, villages, to the outermost areas.
In 10 years of his government, 366 thousand kilometers of village roads, 1.9 million meters of village bridges, 2,700 kilometers of new toll roads, 6,000 kilometers of national roads have been built, he explained.
“50 new ports and airports, as well as 43 new dams, and 1.1 million hectares of new irrigation networks,” he added.
There has been a decrease in logistics costs from the previous 24 percent to 14 percent in 2023, so that it can increase competitiveness from the previous ranking of 44 to ranking 27 in 2024, he said.
This strengthens unity because access is more equal and just, said the President who is always close to the people.
I am grateful for Indonesia’s development achievements over the past 10 years, he said.
Meanwhile, Indonesia is one of the few countries that has been able to recover faster, even continuing to grow. Our economic growth is maintained at around 5 percent, even though many countries are not growing, even slowing down, he concluded.
“Eastern Indonesian regions such as Papua and Maluku were able to grow above 6 percent and North Maluku was able to grow above 20 percent,” he said.
Inflation is also under control at around 2-3 percent when many countries are experiencing extraordinary increases, some even reaching more than 200 percent, he said.
On the other hand, the extreme poverty rate was able to be reduced from the previous 6.1 percent to 0.8 percent in 2024, he added.
The stunting rate was also able to be reduced from the previous 37 percent to 21.5 percent in 2023, he explained.
Meanwhile, the unemployment rate is also able to be suppressed from the previous 5.7 percent to 4.8 percent in 2024, he said.
President Jokowi added that development in the last 10 years is a development that is aspired to together.
Development that touches all levels of society. Development that has an impact on the wider community, he said.
