A combination of TNI and Polri security forces built a security post in the Bintang Mountains as a form of firm action to silence the Papuan Terrorist Separatist Group (KST) who had been acting in the area.
The actions of the Papuan Separatist Terrorist Group (KST) have yet to see any light, the brutal actions carried out by irresponsible individuals continue to claim lives. Not long ago, in September, a shooting occurred involving a Brimob member while on patrol in the Serambakon District area, namely Brigadier Rudi Agung Ashari.
This was followed by two other innocent civilians who became victims of being shot by KST Papua members after the incident. The two civilians were a woman named Regina, 50 years old, and a man named Yonas, 35 years old. Luckily, the two civilians did not die and were immediately rushed to the Oksibil regional hospital for medical treatment.
The brutal actions carried out by KST Papua have indeed violated human rights (HAM). Because it has created chaos to the point of threatening someone’s life and even death. Not only that, KST Papua and its members caused chaos again after the incident above. This time they intensified their action by burning a number of stalls at Yapimakot Market, Serambakon District, Bintang Mountains Regency.
According to their alibi, the stalls in the market were deliberately built by the government through the TNI and Polri to spy on the movements of Papuan KST individuals in the area. That’s why they didn’t hesitate to commit brutal acts by burning down the stalls. However, this arbitrary action actually creates huge losses for the local community.
Even worse, when carrying out this brutal action, one of the Papuan KST members actually broadcast it live on social media. They brandished the firearms in their hands. Proudly, a man showed his prowess because he had started a war with members of the TNI and Polri. In fact, the actions they took were not at all great to show off.
After that, the brutal action continued, namely KST Papua shot the Trigana Air plane which was passing through the Serambakon District area. Fortunately, the brutal shot missed, not hitting the target, so the plane escaped death and arrived safely at Sentani Airport, Jayapura.
As a form of action to reduce the level of crime in Papua caused by KST Papua, the TNI and Polri took firm action, namely implementing special measures to secure the area. They carried out guerrilla attacks to silence the very disturbing KST Papua members. Papua Police Chief, Inspector General Mathius D Fakhiri, said that there were five Papuan KST members who had been successfully silenced. The reason is, the five KST members were hit by gunfire after exchanging fire with members of the TNI and Polri.
Another firm action taken by the government is in the form of building a Security Post in a crucial district where KST acts, namely in Serambakon District. The construction of the Security Post is to anticipate anarchic actions that could be carried out by the brutal Separatist Terrorist Group. That way, public security can also be monitored so that disturbing KST brutal actions do not occur.
The Indonesian government has made various efforts to eradicate the arbitrary and brutal Papuan KST. Through the Papua Regional Police Chief, they ordered their subordinates to continue pursuing irresponsible individuals who carried out these crimes which threatened lives on Earth of Cendrawasih. Of course, things like this are very contrary to customs and human rights.
They, the irresponsible Papuan KST elements, must be captured alive so that they can be held accountable for their actions. Currently, TNI and Polri soldiers have taken firm action. If indeed KST Papua resists with actions that are dangerous and threaten the lives of TNI Polri and especially civilians, then the Cartenz Peace Ops Task Force will firmly take action in accordance with applicable procedures. Indeed, they should be dealt with as firmly as possible.
However, the chaos has returned to normal, the situation has been successfully restored so that things have also returned to normal. The activities of state civil servants (ASN), schools, health services, banking and markets have also recovered to normal.
Nevertheless, the firm action that has been taken by the TNI and Polri has made local residents also hope that the atmosphere will return to being conducive for a long time to come. So that they can also carry out normal activities as usual without excessive worry and fear due to the threat from KST Papua roaming the area.
