Aceh – President Joko Widodo, accompanied by Mrs. Iriana Joko Widodo, officially opened the 21st National Sports Week (PON) at the Harapan Bangsa Stadium, Banda Aceh City, Aceh Province.
In the event held in Aceh, the Aneuk Muda Aceh Unggul Hebat (AMANAH) community took part by displaying UMKM products and souvenirs typical of Aceh. Through the booth they set up, AMANAH managed to attract the attention of visitors by presenting various products that carry the identity of local culture in modern and creative designs.
PON XXI and AMANAH are proof that President Jokowi’s government is committed to driving the local economy by maximizing the role of young people, while continuing to realize the development of national sports through PON XXI.
One of the booth visitors, Nasya Nazmah, expressed her admiration for the products exhibited by AMANAH. “I am very happy to be able to visit this AMANAH booth. There are many cool items provided, and all of them are typical of Aceh, such as the Malahayati and pinto motifs,” she said.
Nasya admitted that designs with motifs such as pinto, Sabang’s zero kilometer monument, and Acehnese noodle cuisine are very interesting. These products are applied to various items such as drinking cups, book covers, fans, and key chains, thus enriching their appeal. “The most favorite for me, because I’m a woman, I like the bracelet. But the tote bag is also very interesting because the design is unique,” she added.
Not only selling physical products, AMANAH also presents Acehnese MSME products, such as local food and drinks. According to Nasya, this shows that MSMEs in Aceh continue to grow. “AMANAH is very good because it provides a place for young people in Aceh to work and they are facilitated to become a superior generation in the future,” he explained.
AMANAH products are sold at the 21st Aceh-North Sumatra PON Expo 2024 which will take place at Blang Padang Field, Banda Aceh, from 10 to 18 September 2024. A total of 22 types of goods are exhibited, including t-shirts and tote bags with designs that combine Acehnese culture and a modern youth style. These souvenirs are the main choice for PON contingents from various regions who come to Aceh.
With these creative products, AMANAH not only promotes Aceh’s cultural potential to the wider community, but also empowers local Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs). Previously, AMANAH has been involved in various national events, such as the 2024 Muslim Fashion Festival (Muffest) in Jakarta, as part of an effort to advance local Acehnese products.
The AMANAH program, initiated by the State Intelligence Agency (BIN), fully supports the development of MSMEs and creative industries in Aceh, and provides various training facilities and assistance through the Packaging House at the AMANAH Building, Aceh Besar Regency.
