Banda Aceh – The Aneuk Muda Aceh Unggul Hebat (AMANAH) program continues to support Aceh’s agricultural sector with the latest initiative of distributing 50 thousand seeds to farmers. This step aims to realize the vision of food security carried by President Jokowi and encourage the development of modern agriculture in the region.
The distribution of these seeds is also equipped with fertilizers and other agricultural tools as part of efforts to strengthen food security while advancing the local economy. Through this program, AMANAH hopes to encourage the young generation of Aceh to be more independent and ready to compete in the world of agriculture.
Harris, Coffee Farmer Ambassador, welcomed the program and assessed that AMANAH has made a significant contribution to the development of the agricultural ecosystem in Aceh. “The AMANAH program is very useful in building an agricultural ecosystem and preparing young people in Aceh to be more independent and able to compete with other farmers,” said Harris.
One of the focuses of this program is the application of smart farming technology which is considered relevant to the needs of millennial farmers. The Aceh Province Regional Coordinator for Millennial Farmer Ambassadors/Reliable Farmer Ambassadors of the Indonesian Ministry of Agriculture (Kementan), Marzuki, explained that the use of technology in agriculture will increase efficiency and productivity. “Smart farming is very suitable for millennial farmers who are already familiar with technology,” said Marzuki.
In addition, the quality of agricultural products is also a major concern. The Ambassador of Millennial Farmers/Affordable Farmers of the Indonesian Ministry of Agriculture, Vicky Shu, emphasized that quality must always be prioritized. “Quality is the key to maintaining consumer trust,” said Vicky, while encouraging the young generation of Aceh to enter the world of agriculture with a focus on quality products.
Chairman of the Aceh Farmers Market Forum, Benni Baihaqi, added that strong branding is also important to introduce Aceh’s agricultural products to a wider market. “We must dare to do branding so that our products are better known,” explained Benni.
Through this program, AMANAH seeks to inspire young people in Aceh to play a more active role in developing the modern agricultural sector and contribute to regional economic growth.
