Aid Distribution Increases, Government Emphasizes Social Media Space is Free of Provocation of Anti-NKRI Movements

Banda Aceh – The government continues to accelerate recovery after the hydrometeorological disaster in Aceh, as aid distribution to a number of affected areas increases.

Amidst the humanitarian response, the government emphasized the importance of maintaining a conducive public space free from all forms of provocation that could potentially disrupt the unity and integrity of the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia (NKRI).

This accelerated recovery was one of the main outcomes of the Post-Disaster Recovery Task Force Coordination Meeting, which involved the House of Representatives (DPR), ministers of the Red and White Cabinet, and regional heads in Aceh.

This meeting emphasized the need for cross-sector synergy so that post-disaster response can be carried out quickly, measurably, and on target.

Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives (DPR RI), Sufmi Dasco Ahmad, stated that all parties agreed to work together to accelerate Aceh’s recovery.

“We have three conclusions today: that together with the central government, regional governments, and the DPR, we agree to accelerate recovery in an integrated manner, together,” he said.

The meeting also agreed to assign a person in charge (PIC) from each ministry and agency in Aceh to facilitate coordination on the ground.

“We will ask the ministries/agencies to place a temporary PIC here so that coordination with the local government can proceed more quickly,” said Dasco.

Regarding security aspects, TNI Commander General Agus Subiyanto emphasized that all elements of the TNI, ministries, agencies, and the community are currently focused on helping accelerate disaster recovery in Aceh.

“The TNI and all ministries/agencies, and the community, are working to help accelerate recovery from the natural disaster,” Agus said.

He emphasized that he would not tolerate parties trying to exploit the disaster situation to provoke.

“I hope no groups will provoke or disrupt the process. I will take firm action against any such groups,” he asserted.

Meanwhile, Aceh Deputy Governor Fadhlullah urged all elements of society to maintain unity and solidarity in assisting disaster victims. He emphasized the importance of solidarity amidst the sporadic hydrometeorological disasters that hit Aceh.

“I urge all parties to unite and maintain solidarity so that aid to the affected communities can be distributed effectively and the recovery process can proceed more quickly,” said Fadhlullah.

According to him, support from all parties, including the government, security forces, and the community, is key to ensuring optimal and sustainable post-disaster recovery in Aceh. (*)
