ACEH – In an effort to strengthen the creative economy sector among students, five South Aceh student youth organizations (OKP) together with the Aneuk Muda Aceh Unggul dan Besar (AMANAH) program held a seminar on Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (UMKM).The seminar with the theme “Building a Creative Business” was held on Wednesday, August 14 2024, at the Hall of the Regent of South Aceh. This event was attended by students, MSME players, and local community leaders, with the aim of equipping the young generation of South Aceh with the knowledge and motivation to develop competitive creative businesses.Yuliana Irvana Rasyidi, who also serves as Acting Chair of the South Aceh PKK TP, conveyed the importance of increasing MSME income in South Aceh.He emphasized that MSME income must increase by up to 80% to achieve the community’s productive business targets. “I hope that the people of South Aceh will be able to compete with the 23 other districts and cities in Aceh, especially in the economic sector. “Therefore, students must always think creatively and productively,” said Yuliana.Novita Rosmita, who is a member of the South Aceh DPRK and an entrepreneur, explained the mentality and challenges that an entrepreneur must have so that they don’t give up easily when starting a business. “I am sure that students or the people of South Aceh generally have the ability to trade. “However, to develop this idea, you need a strong mentality and readiness to face the ups and downs of a business,” he explained.Yusra, Head of the MSME Division from the South Aceh Disdagperinkop, added that MSMEs need to receive more attention.“Medium and Micro Enterprises need to get more seminars like this, which is the first step for multi-functional South Aceh students. “We from the government really support activities like this in the future,” he stressed.Heriadi, as Event Coordinator, expressed his gratitude to OKP for collaborating with AMANAH (Aneuk Muda Aceh Unggul Besar) in organizing this event.This seminar involved five OKP students who are active in South Aceh, namely SEMMI South Aceh, BEM Polytechnic South Aceh, PC IPPNU South Aceh, Duta Wisata South Aceh, and HMPS Poltekkes South Aceh. This collaboration is a strategic step in maximizing the potential of Acehnese students to participate in driving the regional economy.
