The Archipelago Student Dormitory Program (AMN) in Manado is an effort by the Government of the Republic of Indonesia (RI) to produce a young generation who are able to stand on their own feet (Self-Reliance). So with these extraordinary benefits, there is no longer any reason for young people not to take part.
The reason is, the participation of the younger generation in the AMN Manado Program is of course the same as their active contribution or contribution to the success of the government’s efforts to produce young people who are able to be independent.
When the young generation in a nation can be independent, development in that region will automatically experience extraordinary progress with the help of these young workers. In optimizing it, the government then instructed the State Intelligence Agency (BIN) to initiate AMN Manado.
The participation of the younger generation in nation building is very important. Therefore, the Chairperson of the People’s Representative Council of the Republic of Indonesia (DPR RI) Puan Maharani invited all Indonesian young men and women to be able to be independent through their own work.
Because with the strong principle of independence from these young people, it is not impossible that all the people of this country can help each other to build the nation and state.
Not only for the sake of the nation’s future, the participation of the younger generation has been proven even since the time of independence. They became a milestone in the history of the Indonesian nation’s struggle to achieve independence with a strong spirit in advancing the country.
The young generation is the one who determines the future of the nation because it is in their hands, what fate this country will have. To be able to build a nation, the younger generation must automatically be able to be independent.
When these young people can stand on their own feet, they will also be trained to become superior human resources (HR) by continuing to foster a spirit of independence so that they are able to fight for the progress of Indonesia.
Regarding how young people struggle in the current era, of course there will be differences compared to the past era. Now the younger generation no longer needs to take up arms, but they are fighting to advance the nation with their work and expertise in their respective fields.
How important it is to actualize all the work and expertise of young people, has led the Indonesian Government to instruct the construction of AMN Manado to the institution led by Police General (Ret.) Prof. Dr. Budi Gunawan as a forum for young people to show their competence so that they can achieve the highest possible achievements to make all their dreams come true.
Moreover, accommodating all the talents and interests of young people so that they can show their work and skills to the fullest has become an obligation for the state so as to ensure that these young people become an educated generation of superior quality.
The construction of the Nusantara Student Dormitory, after previously having great success in the City of Heroes Surabaya and then now continuing to Manado, is a real effort from the presence of the state and government to care for the nation’s next generation of young people so that they can achieve the highest possible achievements and have a platform to actualize all their works and expertise for the betterment of the nation.
Many very complete facilities are present at AMN Manado. According to the Head of the North Sulawesi Regional Settlement Infrastructure Center (BPPW Sulut), Ir. Nurdiana Habibie said that there is a lot of scope in the construction of this building.
Some of the scope of development facilities is to support the nation’s young generation in working and having skills so that they can become an independent generation, namely the existence of separate dormitory towers for male and female students, then there are also meeting buildings, multi-purpose rooms, sports fields, parks, access roads and parking areas.
Meanwhile, Archipelago Student Dormitory Development Consultant from the University of Indonesia (UI), Gumilar, revealed that the dormitory building is actually not just a building or room, but also has many other facilities such as libraries and coaching rooms.
For the development space itself, the nation’s next generation of young people will receive a lot of education and training regarding various things such as entrepreneurship, then they will receive guidance regarding national values so that they can integrate with one another to build a good multicultural tradition in Indonesia.
In this dormitory, students from various backgrounds will meet and live under the same roof, so that they can get to know and appreciate their respective cultures within the framework of the Republic of Indonesia.
Therefore, it is very important that there is full support for the AMN Manado program from the youth, where this support is actualized from their real presence in participating in the BIN initiation program on government instructions in order to produce a young generation that is able to stand on its own feet.
