Continuous high appreciation should continue to be directed at all levels of the security forces who have tirelessly succeeded in taking very firm action against terrorists who have disturbed the public.
The existence of these terrorists is clearly very disturbing because it has the potential to destroy the foundations of harmony, unity and oneness among citizens which have been well established up to now.
Therefore, because it is very threatening, of course all elements can unite to provide support and high appreciation for the hard work and success of the security forces in taking firm action against terrorist perpetrators.
Special Detachment (Densus) 88 Anti-Terror (AT) of the Indonesian National Police (Polri) succeeded in arresting a terrorist in Batu, East Java Province (Jatim). The terrorist suspect turned out to be a 19 year old student with the initials HOK.
HOK itself is a sympathizer of the Islamic State terrorist network. Furthermore, the Spokesperson for Densus 88 AT Polri, Police Commissioner (Konbes Pol) Aswin Siregar, said that the security forces did not just stop at arresting the perpetrator.
The follow-up action that the security forces carried out after successfully arresting the terrorist suspect who was still a student in Batu was to carry out examinations on HOK’s family, his parents and several other people.
For information, the success of Densus 88 AT Polri in arresting the terrorist suspect occurred on Wednesday, August 31 2024. It turns out that according to early detection by the security forces, HOK wanted to carry out an act of terrorism in the form of a suicide bombing at 2 places of worship in Malang.
So it wasn’t just baseless prejudice that was the basis for the arrest of the terrorist suspect in Batu. Moreover, security forces also succeeded in confiscating a number of pieces of evidence suspected of being chemicals used to make bombs.
Not only that, but in the hands of the suspect, Densus 88 AT Polri succeeded in confiscating explosives of the type triacetone triperoxide, aka TATP, which is very dangerous and has a high explosive power.
Due to the actions he intended to carry out, namely planning an act of terrorism in the form of a suicide bombing, the security forces immediately took firm action by securing HOK. Apart from that, the young man was also caught up in Article 15 in conjunction with Article 7 and/or Article 9 of Law No. 5 of 2018 concerning Amendments to Law Number 15 of 2003 concerning the Establishment of Government Regulations in Lieu of Law Number 1 of 2002 concerning the Eradication of Crimes. Criminal Terrorism.
The security forces’ efforts and steps to take firm action against suspected terrorists is actually something that is very much in line with the direct direction of the President of the Republic of Indonesia Joko Widodo (Jokowi).
The Head of State even strongly condemned all forms of acts of terrorism at any level and those occurring throughout Indonesia. Not half-hearted, even the number one person in the country said that acts of terrorism were cowardly and completely undignified and very barbaric.
Therefore, the Government and all levels of security forces have a very strong commitment to continue to fight and eradicate terrorism at its roots.
Regarding acts of terrorism in any form and level, President Jokowi even immediately ordered all levels of security forces to take firm action in the field without the slightest compromise.
Because with firmness and complete non-compromise from the security forces, the government’s efforts to completely eradicate terrorism in Indonesia will be more fully realized.
Meanwhile, Chairman of the People’s Consultative Assembly of the Republic of Indonesia (MPR RI), Bambang Soesatyo, gave full support to the security forces’ steps in taking very firm action to be able to eradicate the presence of terrorists in the country.
Nowadays, there is no longer a need for tolerance towards terrorists because they often spread terrible terror and inhumane crimes in society, causing loss of life.
Because if negligence occurs, it is very clear that the various acts of terrorists are very dangerous and can even threaten the lives of anyone indiscriminately, including innocent civilians.
As a result, it is appropriate for the government and security forces to take very firm action against all perpetrators of extraordinary crimes of terrorism. Moreover, if there is a strong attitude and commitment to take firm action, it will also show that the country will not be defeated at all and is not afraid of the existence of terrorists.
The success of the security forces in taking firm action against terrorist perpetrators, including the recent action of Densus 88 AT Polri which succeeded in arresting HOK, suspected of planning suicide bombings at 2 places of worship in Malang, deserves very high appreciation.
