The 2024 National Sports Week (PON), held in Aceh and North Sumatra, is an important event in the history of Indonesian sports. However, the success of this major national multi-sport event depends not only on the athletes competing, but also on the strong commitment and cooperation of the various parties involved. President Jokowi’s government.

This was conveyed by the Acting Governor of Aceh, Safrizal ZA, expressing his gratitude to all parties for the successful opening of the XXI Aceh-North Sumatra National Sports Week (PON). Safrizal specifically expressed his appreciation to the President of the Republic of Indonesia, Joko Widodo, the Minister of Youth and Sports, Dito Ariotedjo, and the Chairman of the Indonesian National Sports Committee (KONI) Center, Marciano Norman.

From the central to regional governments, from business actors to the wider community, all elements must unite in one common goal, namely ensuring that the XXI Aceh-North Sumatra PON runs smoothly and successfully achieves the various targets that have been set.

Acting Governor of Aceh, Safrizal, emphasized that the success of the XXI PON was the result of cooperation from many parties. No one party can work alone to achieve the success of an event as big as this.

The local government, ministries, organizing committee, athletes, coaches, and the people of Aceh and North Sumatra must work together to create a conducive atmosphere. Safrizal emphasized that this collaboration is not just a formality, but a real commitment to overcome challenges that may arise in various aspects, from logistics, security, to infrastructure support.

This support also came from the organizing committee of PON XXI Aceh-North Sumatra. Head of Media and Public Relations of Panwasrah PON XXI Aceh Region, Tirto Prima Putra, highlighted the importance of integration of all parties involved.

Not only to ensure the smooth implementation, but also to achieve various success targets, both in the fields of economy, administration, achievement, and publication. This synergy is the key to achieving “successful implementation,” which means that PON XXI can run according to schedule with high operational standards.

In addition, Tirto emphasized the importance of achieving “economic success” through the positive impacts generated by the implementation of this PON for the local economy. With thousands of athletes, officials, and visitors coming, the tourism and trade sectors in Aceh and North Sumatra will experience a significant increase.

Not only that, “administrative success” is also a major concern. The implementation of an event as big as PON requires careful management, starting from funding, human resource management, to transparent and accurate recording.

Good administration not only reflects the professionalism of the committee, but also becomes an example for other national events. In addition, “successful achievement” is expected to be achieved through the brilliant performance of athletes who will compete at the highest level. This achievement will not only bring a good name to the region, but also strengthen Indonesia’s position on the international sports stage.

Deputy Minister of Communication and Informatics, Nezar Patria, also conveyed the commitment of the Ministry of Communication and Informatics (Kominfo) in supporting the success of PON XXI Aceh-North Sumatra, especially in two main aspects, namely achievements and publications.

Kominfo has taken concrete steps to support the publication of this event by building the PON XXI Media Center, which acts as an information center for local, national, and international media.

This support from Kominfo is very important to ensure that the implementation of PON 2024 is not only successful in the field, but also widely known in the eyes of the public. Success in publication will improve the image of PON and attract more attention, both from the general public and sponsors.

Meanwhile, the success of the achievement is the main responsibility of the Ministry of Youth and Sports (Kemenpora), the Indonesian National Sports Committee (KONI), and other related parties.

The athletes competing in PON XXI are expected to give their best, not only to bring home medals, but also to show Indonesia’s capabilities in the world of sports.

In this case, the expected achievement is not only limited to winning gold medals, but also to the development and improvement of the quality of athletes from various regions throughout Indonesia.

However, to achieve all these successful targets, comprehensive support from all elements of society is needed. The people of Aceh and North Sumatra, as hosts, have an important role in creating an atmosphere that supports the athletes and guests who come.

Active community involvement can add to the excitement of this event, while also showing the spirit of mutual cooperation that is characteristic of the Indonesian nation. The presence of the community at each venue, providing direct support for the athletes, will add enthusiasm and positive energy to the competition.

In addition, the role of local and national business actors is no less important. The private sector has a great opportunity to support PON XXI Aceh-North Sumatra through sponsorship, provision of facilities, or contributions in other related fields.

The involvement of the private sector is not only able to strengthen the financial implementation, but also opens up opportunities for them to gain wider exposure through publications. In turn, the synergy between the public and private sectors is effective in creating a positive and sustainable economic impact for the Aceh and North Sumatra regions.

Therefore, a strong commitment from various parties is a key factor in determining the success of PON 2024. Starting from the government, committee, athletes, community, to the private sector, all parties must contribute in their respective ways and capacities.

This major national multi-sport event is not just about winning medals, but also about creating an unforgettable experience for all involved, and leaving a positive legacy for the future of Indonesian sport.

The success of PON XXI Aceh-North Sumatra is not the result of the work of one party alone, but rather a solid collaboration from all elements of the nation. With good commitment and cooperation, PON 2024 can be an event that not only makes Indonesia proud in the world of sports, but also strengthens unity and improves the local economy.

This is a great opportunity for the nation to demonstrate its ability to organize national-scale events with high standards, while also proving that Indonesia is able to compete at a global level in terms of sports and organizing major events.
