Manado – Deputy Chair of the North Sulawesi Indonesian National Youth Committee (KNPI) for Education, Research and Technology, Doni B. Utina emphasized his support for the construction of the Archipelago Student Dormitory (AMN) in Manado, North Sulawesi. According to him, AMN in Manado is a concrete solution for improving the quality of education. Doni also explained the importance of strengthening the role of youth not only as social supervisors, but also in various other aspects.”Young human resources have an important role in social and state life where they can function as a moral force, social supervisors and agents of change in various aspects of national development,” he said in Manado. For this reason, Doni views that improving the quality of education for youth is important in order to produce future cadres for the nation. So, AMN is needed to accommodate the character development of the young generation.”The government initiated the construction of Indonesian student dormitories as a form of answer to a concrete solution to the problem of affordability of higher education for all students, even from various corners of this country,” he said. The development of AMN was initiated by the State Intelligence Agency (BIN) under the leadership of Police General (Ret.) Prof. Dr. Budi Gunawan, SH, M.Si., Ph.D. It is believed that it is not only physical, but also a symbol of commitment to human resource development. “Through this dormitory, the Government is creating a conducive environment for students from various regions in Indonesia to study, be creative and collaborate, especially those in North Sulawesi,” said Doni.Doni is very optimistic that the existence of AMN Manado can provide great benefits for the younger generation, especially in developing skills as provisions for responding to various global challenges.”Through various activities such as leadership training, soft skill development and social activities, the residents of AMN are naturally forged into young people who are ready to face the challenges of the future,” he concludedPreviously, the Deputy Chief of AMN Manado, State Intelligence Agency (BIN), Idham Malik, stated that the development of AMN was aimed at uniting students from various backgrounds. In the future, it is hoped that the existence of AMN will be able to build harmony, cohesiveness and more harmonious relations between the nation’s children.”We hope that AMN Manado’s development activities will run well. “Because after being built by the PUPR Ministry, this building will be handed over to the Directorate General of Higher Education, Ministry of Education and Culture, then handed over again to the local university for AMN management,” he said.
