As a place for leader cadre formation, AMN will be equipped with various learning facilities

Manado – The government through a number of agencies such as the Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing (Kemen PUPR) to the State Intelligence Agency (BIN) continues to oversee the construction of the Nusantara Student Dormitory (AMN) in Manado, North Sulawesi.

Head of the North Sulawesi Regional Settlement Infrastructure Center (BPPW Sulut), Ir. Nurdiana Habibie revealed that the Government continues to accelerate the development of AMN in Manado. Moreover, this development is a direct instruction from President Joko Widodo.

“AMN Manado’s development activities are a form of follow-up to the directives of the President of the Republic of Indonesia,” he said.

He further revealed that the construction of AMN Manado will be carried out with Multi Years Contract financing for the 2023-2024 Fiscal Year

“We really hope for support from all parties involved, so that the construction of AMN Manado can run well,” he said.

Nurdiana stated that AMN Manado consists of a land area of 20,000 with a building area of 1595. Then for the scope of development there are towers for men’s and women’s dormitories.

In fact, AMN also has a meeting hall, multi-purpose room, sports field, park, road access and parking area.

Previously, the Special Staff of the Chairman of the BPIP Steering Committee, Antonius Benny Susetyo, fully supported the AMN program.

“Indeed, the urgency of being a pluralistic nation is that we need facilities. The Nusantara Student Dormitory can be a place to cadre future leaders who see that differences are precisely what unites us as a nation,” he said

The man who is familiarly called Father Benny views AMN as a place to cadre future leaders who are very useful for the progress of the nation.

“This is very important for the development of the nation in the future. Students have accepted differences. This is a good education so that this generation can adapt,” he said.

He also hopes that the Government can increase the number of AMN-type programs.

“In student groups, it is also necessary to create a kind of cultural engineering to experience differences. For example, high school students from other regions can get to know high school students in Java. That will form good character and personality. There must be a program where high school students from various regions can learn together,” he concluded.
