Beware, it turns out to be a hoax, there will be no mobilization of STIN cadets in the 2024 elections

Jakarta – News regarding the mobilization of State Intelligence College (STIN) cadets in the 2024 election selection process has been strongly denied by related parties. According to the official explanation published by STIN, STIN cadets have the right to vote in accordance with the law and carry out the process in accordance with applicable regulations.

STIN cadets, all of whom have been registered on the Permanent Voters List (DPT) in their respective areas of origin, are currently undertaking study assignments and have not returned to their domiciles. For this reason, they took care of moving voters’ domiciles around campus, in accordance with the provisions regulated by the General Election Commission (KPU).Through good coordination with the Bogor Regency KPU, STIN cadets were allowed to move their voter domiciles around Bogor. One of the main requirements in this process is a study assignment letter which is then made an official letter by the STIN Institute. The data used in the process of changing domicile, such as the Population Identification Card (KTP) and Population Identification Number (NIK), is in accordance with existing official data and there are no objections from the authorities. The KPU and the Bogor Election Supervisory Body (Bawaslu) have given approval and have no problem with the process of changing domicile carried out by the STIN Cadets. Intense coordination had previously been carried out between STIN, the KPU and Bawaslu to ensure that the entire process ran according to applicable regulations. In its clarification, STIN emphasized that they were only exercising their constitutional rights and exercising their right to vote, not carrying out intelligence operations as alleged. They undergo the process of changing their domicile in accordance with the rules and mechanisms that have been established, and the data used is official data according to the identity of each STIN cadet. Therefore, accusations of mobilization of STIN cadets in the 2024 elections are completely baseless and can be considered a hoax and slander that does not have a strong basis. STIN reaffirms their commitment to support and carry out the democratic process with transparency and in accordance with applicable regulations. In dealing with various issues that arise, STIN hopes that the public can be more careful and ensure that the information they receive comes from trusted sources.
