Be wary of demonstrations or demonstrations by the West Papua National Committee (KNPB) which are apparently driven by certain parties who are completely irresponsible and they continue to spread various kinds of provocation and propaganda issues in the community.
Don’t let the public easily believe or be taken in by the narrative of provocation and propaganda from certain parties who are completely irresponsible and are taking advantage of the KNPB demonstration.
Because it is clear, the KNPB demonstration was driven by irresponsible parties who only wanted to damage the integrity of national unity by continuing to spread their various provocations and propaganda.
In fact, one of the demonstrations or demonstrations they carried out in Nabire, Central Papua apparently resulted in casualties, including members of the security forces. According to the Head of the Nabire Resort Police (Kapolres), Adjunct Senior Commissioner of Police (AKBP) Wahyudi Satrio Bintoro, the authorities had detained a number of protesters because they were carrying out anarchic actions.
Even though previously, the security forces had given warnings, but in fact they received anarchic treatment in the form of throwing stones, which caused the officers to be injured and had to undergo treatment in hospital.
It is very clear that demonstrations or demonstrations which apparently only end in anarchy and even cause casualties are activities driven by a group of parties who want the movement for an independent Papua.
Even though the state, through the security forces, has actually provided facilities so that they can convey their aspirations by demonstrating, because Indonesia is a democratic country, it turns out that because of the provocation and propaganda that rides on this, it causes anarchism and violence to the point that chaos breaks out in the field.
Demonstrations or demonstrations that end in anarchy are clearly something that is carried out by certain parties to voice certain interests. In this context, these irresponsible groups want to speak out about Papuan independence so they continue to spread various provocations and propaganda.
The reality on the ground shows that there was a lot of stone throwing and also damage to public facilities, which indicates that the mass action was no longer out of sympathy, but was anarchic.
Commander of the XVII/Cenderawasih Regional Military Command (Pangdam), Major General of the Indonesian National Army (Mayjen TNI) Izak Pangemanan believes that every time there is a demonstration or demonstration, but it turns out to end in chaos, it must be the work of a certain group that provokes the masses. .
It is certain that there are infiltrators there, who are trying to make the situation in Papua even more chaotic. Usually, the demonstration riders are also not far from the group that wants independence for the region nicknamed Bumi Cenderawasih, including those who provoke anarchist actions.
The existence of certain parties who are completely irresponsible are often the masterminds of anarchic actions that occur in the Land of Papua, because they really want Papua to be independent and to be separated from the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia (NKRI).
All the things that the gang usually echo regarding an independent Papua is pure nonsense. They often sell the narrative about an independent Papua deliberately to the public to carry out provocation and propaganda just for their personal interests.
Therefore, people in the area nicknamed Little Heaven that Fell to Earth should not be easily provoked by the many nonsense about independent Papua because it is all for personal interests and certain groups.
Papua itself has very clearly and firmly become part of the Republic of Indonesia, where this status is even legal in the eyes of the world and has received recognition from the United Nations (UN).
Suddenly, the Papuan traditional leader, Herman Yoku, firmly asked the KNPB or whoever was involved in the demonstration so that they stop trying to divide the nation because their calls had so far deceived the Papuan people and distorted the facts on the ground.
For your information, the KNPB often carries out actions every August 15th which they aim to commemorate the New York Agreement since 1962. In this agreement, it is an agreement to transfer West Papua from Dutch rule and colony to the bosom of the Republic of Indonesia through the United Nations Temporary Executive Authority (UNTEA).
The provocation and propaganda in the KNPB demonstration actually stated that August, which should be the month of the Independence Day of the Republic of Indonesia, was a month of racism. They continue to argue that it is as if the Papuan people were colonized by a capitalist state system.
Vigilance from the entire community is very important, especially after the demonstration or demonstration by the KNPB which was clearly driven by irresponsible groups and their efforts to spread various forms of provocation and propaganda.
