Jayapura – The Papua Youth Creative Hub or PYCH building in Jayapura Papua, received appreciation from all Papuan people, especially youth, as the young generation who will continue the nation. PYCH was built to foster, and even give birth to, young achievers in Papua.
One of the young Papuan generations, Vitha Faidiban said, the PYCH building was extraordinary and was able to help young Papuans to continue to be creative and innovate.
“With the presence of this building, it will help the young generation of Papua to make many works and do everything they can for the good of all people in the Land of Papua,” said Vitha.
The Papuan youth representative also expressed his deepest gratitude to the President of the Republic of Indonesia, Joko Widodo and Head of BIN General Pol (Purn) Budi Gunawan.
“Thank you to President Jokowi and the Head of BIN for the support in the construction of the PYCH building and all the programs experienced by young Papuans,” said another youth representative, Paulina Ruwayari.
PYCH is a means for Papuan youths to channel their talents and increase their creativity. The youth movement, which is under the guidance of the State Intelligence Agency (BIN), is committed to continuing to work enthusiastically for the progress and prosperity of the Papuan people.
For information, the State Intelligence Agency (BIN) initiated the construction of the Papua Youth Creative Hub (PYCH) Building. Moreover, the realization of people’s welfare in the Land of Papua is in accordance with Presidential Instruction No. 9 of 2020 concerning the Acceleration of Welfare Development in Papua and West Papua Provinces.
In the PYCH label, the younger generation is also taught about information technology. Papuan youth are trained to be internet literate so they have competitiveness to do business on an international scale, able to develop themselves in a positive direction, such as good communication skills, including English language skills.
In addition, the younger generation who take shelter in PYCH are intensifying agricultural programs as an effort to improve people’s welfare and Papuan food security.
A number of assisted farmer groups have succeeded in harvesting corn several times, one of which was in the area of Kwadeware Village and Doyo Lama Village, Waibu District, Jayapura Regency, Papua. The harvest was carried out on 7.5 hectares of land with a yield of around 16.1 tonnes.
In addition, the Papua Youth Creative Hub (PYCH) will be the label for all derivative products or processed corn produced by the community who are fostered by BIN.
One of the youth representatives, Daud Edison Yarisetouw, explained that CV Tripilar Perkasa would buy the crops to be used as chicken feed. Chicken feed products will be packaged with the PYCH label.
“We held the harvest together. So in this land the harvest is gradual. This (corn planting program) is to improve people’s welfare, especially food security,” Daud told the media.
