The State Intelligence Agency (BIN) women’s volleyball team once again demonstrated their dominance by winning first place at the 2024 National Women’s Volleyball Championship. This brilliant victory is not only proof of the team’s strength, but also reflects the excellence in athlete development carried out by BIN and Rajawali.
In the final match which was held at the Indonesia Arena, Jakarta, on Saturday (20/7/2024), the BIN women’s volleyball team managed to beat Jakarta Electrik PLN after a five-set match with a score of 3-2 (25-21, 25-20, 22 -25, 21-25, 17-15). The game displayed by the players not only amazed the audience, but also showed mature strategy and extraordinary team cohesion. Every smash, block and serve shown shows world-class game quality.
The final match was fierce. In the first set, BIN managed to take the lead and closed the set with a score of 25-21. The second set also belonged to BIN with a score of 25-20. However, Jakarta Electric PLN didn’t just give up and managed to take the third and fourth sets with a score of 22-25 and 21-25, forcing the match to continue into a deciding set.
The fifth set was dramatic with both teams chasing each other for points. BIN was behind, but managed to equalize and finally won the set with a score of 17-15, ensuring the title for them.
The success of the BIN women’s volleyball team cannot be separated from the athlete development program implemented by BIN and Rajawali. With complete facilities and intensive training, athletes are trained professionally from an early age.
The visionary leadership of the Head of BIN, General (Ret.) Budi Gunawan has provided inspiration and encouragement for athletes to reach the peak of their achievements. “This is a victory for the State Intelligence Agency in developing female volleyball athletes, and this is extraordinary enthusiasm. It really can’t be expressed in words. “This is a victory for the State Intelligence Agency through women’s volleyball,” said the Manager of the Jakarta BIN women’s volleyball team, Supandi.
“Of course, the first thing for me is the Head of BIN, who really supports this activity. “Everyone supports this activity and of course this is an opportunity for the big family of the State Intelligence Agency and of course for our beloved athletes,” he said.
This victory does not only belong to the BIN women’s volleyball team, but is also a victory for the entire Indonesian nation. It is hoped that the achievements achieved by the BIN women’s volleyball team will be an inspiration for the younger generation to excel in sports.
Apart from that, this success is also proof that with the right support, Indonesian athletes are able to compete and achieve achievements on the international stage.
