All of these things cannot be separated from the full support that has been given by PBESI.
It turns out that there have been many changes and developments in the esports ecosystem in Indonesia. This has been the case since the presence of the Indonesian Esports Executive Board (PBESI) which is a sports organization as well as a forum for esports athletes in Indonesia. Especially during the PBESI management era since being inaugurated in 2020, chaired by General Pol (Ret.) Budi Gunawan until the 2020-2024 period.
Budi Gunawan as the elected Chairman of PBESI for the 2024-2029 period said that in the era of the management of PB e-sports Indonesia for the 2020-2024 period, many achievements and accomplishments have been achieved, both at the national and international levels.
Budi Gunawan said that Esports in Indonesia has become a new and established ecosystem.
“In Indonesia, e-sports as a new sport has shown significant development. With the ecosystem that has been formed, we have succeeded in changing the negative views of society about games,” explained Budi Gunawan to the media in Jakarta, Friday (6/10).
Budi Gunawan also added that Esports is not only for entertainment and hobbies but can also make money.
“Now with the development of e-sports, playing games can be a promising career choice, because it can make money while achieving international success,” added Budi Gunawan.
