Community Appreciates AMANAH’s Strong Commitment to Developing Stand Up Talent to Give Birth to New Comics

ACEH — The community gives high appreciation for AMANAH’s strong commitment to developing the Stand Up Comedy talents of local youth and being able to give birth to regeneration for new Comics.

One of the Komika from Langsa, Habib Jordan, expressed his appreciation to the Aceh Youth Creative Hub (AYCH) or Central Building for Aneuk Muda Aceh Unggul dan Besar (AMANAH) for presenting a special competition there.

He really hopes that the Komikas can improve their quality and abilities in performing Stand Up Comedy.

“This is an extraordinary event, because Amanah and the Indo Banda Aceh stand-up collaborate to hold a stand-up competition that has a wide reach, almost covering one province and involving the Indo stand-up community in areas outside Banda Aceh,” said Jordan.

“And the most important thing is that it is competitive. For us comics, competition is very important because with competition, material creation can be more serious and better,” he added.

The existence of this event is a concrete form of AMANAH’s strong commitment to continue to be a forum for developing Stand Up Comedy talent in Aceh so that it is able to give birth to new Comics in the future.

Likewise, Komika Abdur Arsyad also assessed that the Stand Up competition activity was able to maintain regeneration among them.

According to him, AMANAH’s competition event brings out the talents of new Komikas and keeps the art sustainable.

“In any case, activities in every line, activities aimed at regeneration are important, so that art doesn’t die, art continues, because whoever is currently standing up can’t always stand up, everything has its limits,” said Abdur.

“So when there are programs whose aim is regeneration, it is great to appreciate them,” he added.

One of Stand Up’s mentors, Bonar Manalu, believes that young Acehnese people have great potential to become great comics and be able to develop in the country’s creative industry.

“Aceh has extraordinary talents in stand-up comedy which can be a driving force to revive the local creative industry,” he said.

“AMANAH with its competition not only looks for talent, but also develops it through intensive mentoring and training,” said Bonar.

For information, AMANAH held an event entitled ‘Amanah Talent Present CPNS (Stand Up Successor Candidate) in collaboration with the Banda Aceh Stand Up Comedy community and was attended by hundreds of registrants.
