Jakarta – In facing various social dynamics that are currently occurring, elements of society are expected to continue to maintain security stability and conduciveness and increase vigilance against potential provocations in the Labor Day or Mayday actions.
The Chairperson of the Regional Leadership Council (DPW) of the Federation of Indonesian Metal Workers Unions (FSPMI) of Gorontalo Province, Meiske Abdullah reminded the public not to behave excessively in commemorating International Workers’ Day which is celebrated every May 1.
He invited the public to welcome Labor Day with joy and to maintain regional security and order.
“Let’s maintain the stability of security and order in the region. Because whatever we want together on Labor Day will definitely go well,” said Meiske.
Meanwhile, the Central Java Police Chief, Inspector General of Police Ribut Hari Wibowo, said that his party invited the public to maintain conduciveness in commemorating Labor Day on May 1, 2025.
“We know that in Indonesia many problems can be solved through peaceful dialogue. Therefore, I invite all of us to join hands in fighting for the rights and welfare of workers without causing negative excesses,” said Ribut.
The Regional Police Chief also hopes that the activity of conveying aspirations can take place in a conducive manner, and advised all participants to follow the activity in an orderly manner and be vigilant so that the conveying of aspirations is not taken advantage of by other parties.
“Regarding the activities on May 1st tomorrow, I hope that it can run safely, without leaving any negative excesses, therefore let us together realize the delivery of aspirations in an orderly and conducive manner,” said the Regional Police Chief.
The government, together with various related parties, invites all elements of society to maintain a conducive situation and not be easily provoked by individuals who might exploit the workers’ actions for unclear purposes.
Success in maintaining social stability is the result of collaboration from all parties, including labor groups, the general public, and security forces who have an important role in creating a safe and orderly atmosphere.
