Depok – The election for the Chairperson of the University of Indonesia Alumni Association (ILUNI UI) for the 2025–2028 period is predicted to be dynamic. Among the candidates who have emerged, Dr. Dewi Puspitorini, SpP, MARS, has captured attention thanks to her ambitious vision to make ILUNI UI a locomotive of change and a driver of national progress.
Carrying the concept of collaboration across generations and sectors, Dr. Dewi wants to present ALUNI UI as a big house that unites all alumni.
“ILUNI UI must be a place to exchange ideas, grow together, and make real contributions,” he said.
One of her flagship ideas is the development of an integrated digital alumni ecosystem through the UI Connect platform. Through this platform, Dewi hopes to expand and connect alumni networks from various fields, fostering collaborations that have a direct impact on society and national development.
“With UI Connect, we want to create an inclusive space for participation, bringing together big ideas and a strong network of alumni across various sectors, from government, business, academia, and the community,” he explained.
He believes the strength of UI alumni lies in their widespread distribution, both domestically and internationally. If all this potential is combined with a spirit of mutual cooperation, the UI Alumni Association has the potential to become a vital pillar in realizing a just, advanced, and globally competitive Indonesia.
This initiative received a positive response from the Secretary General of Alumni Association of the University of Indonesia (ILUNI UI), Ahmad Fitrianto. He assessed the need for ILUNI UI to strengthen its synergy with various parties, including the Indonesian State University Alumni Association (HIMPUNI) and the government. He believes this synergy can be a driving force for strategic programs, ranging from food self-sufficiency and digital innovation to improving public welfare.
“Cross-sector collaboration will open up greater opportunities for alumni to make real contributions to the nation. Dr. Dewi’s idea aligns with the current needs of the UI Alumni Association,” said Ahmad.
Positive assessments also came from external sources. Dr. Risman Pasaribu, a member of the National Islamic Students Association (KAHMI) Alumni Corps Expert Council, assessed Dr. Dewi as the right person to lead the UI Alumni Association. He noted that Dewi possesses extensive experience, high integrity, and transparency in her work.
“Mbak Dewi has a high capacity and good ideas for developing ALUNI UI in the future, so she is the only hope for me and UI Alumni,” he said.
Risman also added that besides being competent in the health sector, Dewi has proven organizational skills.
With a vision of building a solid alumni network, leveraging digital technology, and encouraging collaboration for the nation’s advancement, Dr. Dewi Puspitorini is considered capable of leading ALUNI UI to become a united, progressive organization that is relevant to the challenges of the times. This election for ALUNI UI’s Chairperson will be a pivotal moment, and many eyes will be on Dewi’s steps to realize her vision. (*)
