Jakarta – The government has officially begun distributing the first phase of the 2026 Non-Cash Food Assistance (BPNT/Sembako) social aid program ahead of the holy month of Ramadan.
This distribution aims to help maintain people’s purchasing power while ensuring that the basic needs of vulnerable families are met during the early part of the year, particularly throughout Ramadan.
The first phase of BPNT disbursement has been ongoing since January 2026, covering the January–March period. The assistance amounts to Rp200,000 per month and is distributed every three months in a single payment, bringing the total received by each Beneficiary Family (KPM) in the first phase to Rp600,000.
The funds are distributed gradually through state-owned banks under the Himbara group, including BRI, BNI, Mandiri, BTN, as well as PT Pos Indonesia, under the coordination of the Ministry of Social Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia.
Minister of Social Affairs Saifullah Yusuf (Gus Ipul) emphasized that the early 2026 social aid distribution is carried out on a priority basis according to the latest welfare data.
The government is focusing distribution on the most vulnerable groups to ensure that the assistance is well-targeted and has a direct impact on strengthening household economic resilience ahead of Ramadan.
“In accordance with our meeting with the Coordinating Minister, our current main focus is assistance for those in Deciles 1 and 2. However, if the budget allocation remains sufficient, the coverage will continue to expand to include Deciles 3 and 4,” said Gus Ipul.
Several beneficiary families have confirmed that the assistance funds have been credited to their Family Welfare Card (KKS) accounts. To verify their eligibility status, the public can check online through the Cek Bansos application or via the official website cekbansos.kemensos.go.id by entering their regional data and National Identification Number (NIK).
If the assistance has not yet been disbursed, the government urges residents to ensure their population data remains active in the updating of the Integrated National Social and Economic Data (DTSEN), and to coordinate with social aid facilitators or local village and sub-district authorities.
In addition, the Ministry of Social Affairs continues to strengthen field assistance to ensure the distribution process runs accurately and effectively.
“Meanwhile, our facilitators—among the resources we have—include PKH facilitators to help with data updating,” Gus Ipul stated.
The government hopes that the first phase of BPNT distribution in 2026 will be optimally utilized by beneficiary families to meet their basic needs during Ramadan, while also supporting the economic stability of low-income communities.
