Free Health Check Beneficiaries Continue to Increase

Jakarta – The Free Health Check (CKG) program launched by the Indonesian government in February 2025 continues to show encouraging developments. As of early April 2025, more than 50 million citizens have utilized this service, indicating that this program is increasingly accepted by the wider community. Through CKG, the government is committed to increasing public awareness of the importance of affordable and easily accessible preventive health checks.

This program is divided into three main schemes: Birthday CKG, School CKG, and Special CKG for Pregnant Women and Toddlers. Birthday CKG provides checks to individuals aged 0–6 years and 18 years and above, which are carried out at the Community Health Center on their birthday or within one month thereafter.

Minister of Health Budi Gunadi Sadikin said that this program is a government priority in the health sector and will not be affected by budget cuts.

“The government is targeting 100 million participants to benefit from CKG by 2025. For the initial stage, priority will be given to 50 percent of the total target,” he said.

Currently, the main effort of the Ministry of Health is to activate this program more widely, especially outside Java, so that its benefits can be felt evenly by people throughout Indonesia. Budi Gunadi Sadikin also emphasized that he will continue to visit health centers and health facilities in various regions to ensure that the implementation of the program runs according to plan.

Meanwhile, Deputy Minister of Religion Romo Muhammad Syafi’i invited all Indonesian people to take advantage of the Free Health Check. This program is a realization of President Prabowo’s promise which aims to provide free health services to all Indonesian people, without exception, from newborns to the elderly.
“Let’s take advantage of this opportunity. Why? So that our health care costs become cheaper. Don’t wait until you’re sick to seek treatment, because treatment is usually expensive,” he explained.

With a budget of IDR 4.7 trillion, it is hoped that this program can reach more residents, including those living in remote areas, so that all levels of society can take advantage of this opportunity without obstacles
This program is in line with the government’s commitment to ensure that all Indonesians can access free health checks, without exception. Therefore, the government encourages the public to immediately take advantage of this service in order to maintain health and a better quality of life in the future.
