The Government of Indonesia continues to accelerate development through many things, including procuring clear and firm regulations, then collaborating with many parties and continuing to realize and accelerate the development of all supporting facilities in the Land of Papua.
The Government of the Republic of Indonesia continues to make efforts to accelerate development in Papua. This seriousness can even be seen from the design of various regulations regarding the accelerated development program, which include the Presidential Regulation (Perpres) concerning the Steering Committee for the Acceleration of the Development of the Special Autonomy of Papua (BP30KP) and the Presidential Decree concerning the Master Plan for the Acceleration of the Development of the Papua Special Autonomy 2021-2041 (2021-2041). RIPPP).
Therefore, to be able to continue to encourage the succession of a series of accelerated development programs in Bumi Cenderawasih, it is not only necessary to have regulations as a clear legal umbrella, but also to cooperate with various parties so that the legal basis that has been made can be properly implemented in field and really bring benefits to the people of Papua.
In this regard, the Vice President of the Republic of Indonesia (Wapres RI), KH Ma’ruf Amin said that it is also very important to have direct support from the Indigenous Papuan community (OAP), which consists of many elements at once such as elements of custom, religion and women. All of them are asked to be able to consistently carry out the various policies that have been issued by the government.
It should be noted that in setting and designing these policies, of course the government is not just doing it alone or unilaterally, but many collaborations have also been carried out because these policies were designed together with all levels of society by continuing to accommodate the rights of the Indigenous Papuans (OAP) to development in Cenderawasih Earth can be right on target according to what the community needs.
Also included, the Government of Indonesia continues to make efforts to proactively disseminate information to all levels of society regarding the various affirmative policies taken. The government has made a decision, determined to give affirmative action to OAP, the Orang Asli Papua. This has been stated both in the law and in the implementing regulations.
According to the Indonesian Vice President, the entire socialization regarding this policy is very important because it is able to make the Papuan people understand that the government has provided various affirmations in the context of giving authority or enforcement to Indigenous Papuans. Because the government itself really wants what it is doing to give confidence in accordance with the wishes and aspirations of the Indigenous Papuans.
Then, on Monday, April 17 2023, KH Ma’ruf Amin received an audience from 3 (three) ministers simultaneously, namely the Minister of Public Works and Public Housing (Menteri PUPR) Basuki Hadimuljono, Minister of Religion (Menag) Yaqut Cholil Qoumas , as well as the Minister of Education, Culture, Research and Technology (Mendikbudristek) Nadiem Anwar Makarim.
The meeting was intended to discuss how plans to accelerate the development of Papua next. It is known that the development of Cenderawasih Earth uses several approaches and focuses, namely religion and also on the education sector.
On another occasion, the Government also continues to strive to accelerate development in Papua by holding the Cenderawasih Bay Sail. Regarding this, the Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs and Investment (Menko Marves) Luhut B. Pandjaitan inaugurated the implementation of the Cendrawasih Bay Sail some time ago. The Cendrawasih Bay Sail will be held in Papua Province and located in four districts namely Biak Numfor, Waropen, Yapen Islands, and Sarmi. This year’s theme is “Strengthening Indonesia’s Maritime Sovereignty in the Pacific”.
With this activity, the Land of Papua has the opportunity once again to be able to display its beauty and beauty and wealth. The spirit of unity and togetherness to be able to develop regions in Papua has even been carried out with many collaborations, namely with the regional government, central government, BUMN, private sector, and the community.
The Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia then added that there were 3 (three) main types of focus in this activity, namely conducting fishery exports, investment and also developing regional potential. According to him, of course with this activity it is able to further accelerate the increase in the quality and quantity of exports of marine products.
It doesn’t end there, however. This includes accelerating the development of supporting facilities/infrastructure, preparing competent and competitive human resources, post-harvest support, cold chain that supports fishery exports, and regulations that support the business climate.
All supporting facilities in the Land of Papua continue to be built and worked on with full commitment and a spirit of unity and nationality by the Indonesian Government. This is indeed intended to be able to further realize efforts in accelerating development on Cenderawasih Earth.
