The Government of the Republic of Indonesia (RI) as well as the Nduga Regency Government (Pemkab) continue to open up space for negotiation, dialogue and very wide communication in order to carry out the mission of freeing the Susi Air pilot who was taken hostage by KST Papua.

The Commander of the Indonesian National Armed Forces (TNI), Admiral Yudo Margono stated that the entire joint personnel security apparatus, including his side, the Indonesian National Police (Polri) to the State Intelligence Agency (BIN) will continue to carry out and put forward various kinds of humane steps with the aim of carrying out conflict resolution against the Papuan Separatist and Terrorist Group (KST) led by Egianus Kogoya.

Of course, efforts to approach a humane with the separatist mob on Earth Cenderawasih, all in order to be able to carry out evacuation missions, rescue until the release of Susi Air airline pilots who are still being held hostage by the group led by Egianus Kogoya.

The intended humanist approach and conflict resolution efforts are that all security forces from joint personnel, be it the TNI, Polri or BIN, continue to establish good cooperation and synergy with the Acting (Pj) Regent of Nduga Regency to open up space for dialogue.

Previously, the Acting Regent of Nduga himself had agreed and was willing to continue to negotiate and open a very wide space for dialogue and communication with KST Papua who took hostage a pilot named Philips Mark Mehrtens, who was the captain of the pilot from New Zealand.

In fact, until now, the Acting Regent of Nduga is also continuing to negotiate. This turned out to be a request from the Regent himself, who had conveyed it directly to the Regional Commander (Pangdam) so that they would carry out negotiations with the group led by Egianus Kogoya.

Furthermore, the security forces themselves emphasized that they absolutely would not want to use various methods or approaches militarily for the rescue mission and the release of the Susi Air Pilot.

Of course, it is not without reason why this was really emphasized and emphasized by the security forces, especially the TNI Commander. The reason is that Admiral Yudo Margono is very worried about the safety of the Papuan community or civilians around the area if, for example, he later uses a military approach in efforts to free the pilot captain.

So, of course, this is a very strong reason why until now the state continues to put forward a very humanist approach, namely continuing to open up space for dialogue and negotiation with KST Papua and not choosing to use a military approach, because it has the potential to add another victim, especially from innocent civilians.

The reason is, so far the separatist gang led by Egianus Kogoya himself has often used cunning methods to further pressure and threaten the state, one of the methods they have used is by exploiting Indigenous Papuan civil society (OAP), even starting from women. to children as their shield of life.

If, for example, the security forces and the state, the central government to the local regional government and all relevant stakeholders or stakeholders do not use a strategy or steps that are careful in handling the Susi Air Pilot hostage case, then of course there will be a lot of bad impacts and huge losses will be felt by civil society.

For this reason, so far, if there are still opportunities and methods to be carried out by prioritizing peaceful means, then of course all of these parties will prefer and prioritize peaceful methods of conflict resolution with KST Papua.

It also shows how the state really cares about the safety of all its people, in particular the state really pays attention to all the people on Earth of Cenderawasih. Moreover, the government has continued to carry out massive construction in the easternmost province of Indonesia during the era of the leadership of the President of the Republic of Indonesia (RI), Joko Widodo (Jokowi).

A similar statement was also expressed by the Vice President of the Republic of Indonesia (Wapres RI), KH Ma’ruf Amin, who emphasized that the government certainly prefers to negotiate efforts to release hostages because it does not want more victims to fall.

So far, efforts to release a pilot from a Susi Air airline named Philips Mark Mehrtens have been carried out with great care and careful steps by the government, including with assistance from the Nduga Regency Government. The space for dialogue and communication continues to be very wide open to the group led by Egianus Kogoya so that both parties can immediately resolve the conflict peacefully.
