The Indonesian government guarantees that it and all the bureaucracy under the auspices of the state will continue to have a very strong commitment to maintaining their neutrality, especially in the implementation of the General Election and the upcoming Presidential Election. Because all of them are also in accordance with the rules in force in the country.
The President of the Republic of Indonesia (RI), Joko Widodo (Jokowi) emphasized that the neutrality of all State Civil Apparatuses (ASN) in the implementation of democratic parties and also political contestation through the holding of General Elections (Pemilu), especially the Presidential Election (Pilpres) in 2024 will be maintained with a very strong commitment.
In fact, in fact it has been conveyed directly by the Head of State himself that indeed the neutrality of all state apparatus such as the Indonesian National Armed Forces (TNI), the Indonesian National Police (Polri) ASN and the entire bureaucracy owned by the Indonesian Government at this time can still be maintained. very strongly.
So, with a strong commitment to continue to maintain neutrality, various parties should not need to worry too much about it, especially lately with the increasingly heated political climate in Indonesia, which has caused a lot of unpleasant issues circulating regarding the implementation of the General Election and the Presidential Election. 2024 coming.
In fact, in fact there are many negative issues that are constantly trying to be exhaled by various parties who do not agree with the existence of peace and harmony between people in the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia (NKRI), it is clear that it should be able to continue to be driven away and not too easily provoke other general public.
Those who continue to try to blow up bad issues regarding the implementation of the General Election and the Presidential Election are irresponsible parties and do not reflect good individuals or citizens.
Furthermore, President Jokowi also explained that in this case, it is actually very clear that the election organizers themselves are the General Elections Commission (KPU) and not other parties. As for the Government of the Republic of Indonesia itself, it is the party that can continue to provide support so that all processes and implementation of the entire General Election series can run smoothly, from many sides such as security to providing assistance with the provision of logistical distribution.
Obviously, that’s the only thing that can be done by the Government and also the entire bureaucracy in the Government of Indonesia, nothing more. So of course it is not true if there is still news that seems to state that the Government is not showing neutrality and tends to be inclined to support certain names in political contests and democratic parties which are held every 5 (five) years in the country.
Because the Government itself is not an institution that is the organizer of the General Election, but the event is already regulated, namely from the KPU. Meanwhile, the government only has a duty to provide support so that everything can run smoothly, so it becomes very impossible and makes no sense if there are a handful of people who might still believe that the government is not neutral.
In fact, it’s not just the Head of State himself who emphasized many times that the entire government bureaucracy is committed to maintaining their neutrality in the 2024 Presidential Election and General Election, but on the other hand, the Government of Indonesia itself does not have the right to be able to participate too much. during the implementation process and series of elections. So it is clear that a non-neutral government itself is already impossible, because since the beginning of the democratic party organizers themselves there have been parties and institutions that regulate it.
Meanwhile, the confirmation did not only come from President Jokowi, but also came from the Vice President of the Republic of Indonesia (Wapres RI), KH Ma’ruf Amin who emphasized that the neutrality of all civil servants in election activities is indeed an obligation that cannot be negotiated at all. Again.
This is because from neutrality itself, there are already very clear rules that regulate that all civil servants must be neutral. For information, ASN has a neutrality principle mandated in Law no. 5 of 2014 concerning ASN. The regulation stipulates that ASN is prohibited from becoming a member and/or administrator of a political party. ASN is also mandated not to take sides from any form of influence and not to favor the interests of anyone.
If, for example, there is still a government bureaucracy that turns out to be not neutral, it is clear that this attitude will greatly disrupt the stability of self-government and will also be able to hinder the achievement of many targets and the performance of the government.
For this reason, it is guaranteed that the Government of Indonesia and also all the bureaucracy under the auspices of the state such as ASN, TNI to Polri will continue to have a very strong commitment to be able to maintain their neutrality in the implementation of the upcoming 2024 Election.
