AMN Manado is believed to be able to unite the nation’s children from various regions to produce a high spirit of mutual cooperation.
Efforts to prepare the nation’s future young generation, especially those who are pursuing higher education, must be carried out as early as possible so that later they will be able to be directly involved in the diversity of society within the framework of the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia (NKRI). The reason is, in fact, all people in the Republic of Indonesia have different backgrounds from each other, which is a very massive diversity in Indonesia.
Indonesia has extraordinary diversity, but it turns out that all the people of this nation are still able to live in harmony side by side with each other within the framework of the Republic of Indonesia. To create young people who are ready, educated and uphold the values of tolerance, the existence of AMN Manado clearly makes a big contribution.
President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) emphasized that the aim of developing AMN Manado itself is to unite the sons and daughters of the nation from various regions in the same forum to produce a high spirit of mutual cooperation. Regarding the existence of AMN Manado to be a unifying forum amidst the great diversity of the nation’s young generation, one of the Manado student activists, Dwi Purnama, assessed that the presence of the program initiated by the State Intelligence Agency of the Republic of Indonesia (BIN RI) was like an enlightening entity.
With the existence of AMN Manado, the lives of young people, even though they have different backgrounds, still have a very bright light if they can all live in harmony side by side by practicing the motto Bhinneka Tunggal Ika. This is because the existence of the building which stands on 5 hectares of land is not just a building or physical place for young people to carry out their many positive activities.
The existence of the Nusantara Student Dormitory in Manado is also a milestone in uniting young people with their diverse backgrounds and ideologies with one another. Now, the strength of young people is increasing, one of which is thanks to the contribution of AMN Manado. So it is not surprising why the institution led by Police General (Ret.) Prof. Dr. Budi Gunawan is able to unite people from different backgrounds.
Despite this, in fact, the diversity of culture, religion and ethnicity means that the nation’s next generation of young people will continue to strive to provide the most relevant approach that young people need, for example an approach with lots of positive activities, namely dialogue, discussions and social activities which of course bring many benefits. for each other. When young people are able to participate in many social activities, it will increasingly and continue to foster a very strong sense of brotherhood among all young people who are the next generation of the nation.
Governor of North Sulawesi Province (Sulut) Prof. Dr. (HC) Olly Dondokambey through North Sulawesi Provincial Secretary (Sekprov) Steve Kepel, said that the responsibility for Indonesian education involves only certain parties but also many parties, so the existence of AMN Manado is important as a social, intellectual and entrepreneurial laboratory.
It doesn’t stop there, but BIN also presents a variety of other positive activities such as holding seminars and workshops to provide a very wide open space for young people so that they can share ideas, learn and grow together. All the activities that take place at AMN Manado, the government aims to train the young generation so that they can inherit and continue the ideals of the nation’s previous founders.
Meanwhile, Chairman of the Socialization Body for the People’s Consultative Assembly of the Republic of Indonesia (MPR RI), Mohammad Arwani, emphasized that it is very important to understand the implementation of the four pillars of nationality consisting of Pancasila, the 1945 Constitution (UUD) of the Republic of Indonesia, the Republic of Indonesia and Bhinneka Tunggal Ika to young people. The young generation itself is the main pillar in maintaining the integrity and sovereignty of the nation. Therefore, a very deep understanding regarding the implementation of the four national pillars must continue to be embedded in the depths of their hearts.
With the Indonesian nation having so many diverse ethnicities, the entire community must be able to continue to strengthen the nature of unity between one another. Moreover, currently Indonesia is facing a challenge such as the demographic bonus. Therefore, the nation’s next generation of young people must really be able to strengthen their communication base for the benefit of the Indonesian people.
The implementation of Pancasila values as one of the Pillars of Nationality has so far received very full support from the Indonesian Government through BIN, namely by initiating AMN Manado. The existence of the Nusantara Student Dormitory in Manado has a very real role and plays a big role in providing facilities for improving educational facilities and infrastructure, especially universities, in order to create superior young human resources (HR).
The amount of training and education that the government provides through BIN to young people makes them ready in the future to be involved directly in society and able to deal with the extraordinary diversity within the framework of the Republic of Indonesia.
