Aceh witnessed the birth of a new center dedicated to enhancing youth empowerment and developing the local economy through the inauguration of the Aneuk Muda Aceh Unggul Hebat (AMANAH) Building. Located in Aceh Besar, the building is a symbol of the collaborative commitment of various stakeholders in creating a space that supports Acehnese youth to express their potential, innovate, and contribute to strengthening the regional economy. Known as an initiative of the State Intelligence Agency (BIN), the AMANAH Building aims to build youth capacity so that the younger generation can be skilled and ready to face the challenges of the modern era.
The existence of the AMANAH Building is part of BIN’s efforts to create an environment that supports youth development throughout Indonesia. Aceh, with its abundant human and natural resource potential, is in dire need of an activity center that can drive sustainable economic growth. This building focuses on seven leading sectors including technology, renewable energy, education, food security, health, creative economy, and the environment. This program is expected to optimize the potential in each sector so that Acehnese youth can play an active role in advancing the regional economy and bringing positive change to society.
One of the interesting facilities added is a modern greenhouse that functions for research and development of sustainable agriculture. President Director of PT. Pupuk Indonesia, Rahmad Pribadi, BBA, MPA, also visited the AMANAH Greenhouse in Ladong, Aceh. This building serves a dual function as an agricultural center and a symbol of the AMANAH program that aims to improve the capabilities of Acehnese youth.
During his visit, Rahmad emphasized the importance of the AMANAH program for the advancement of the young generation in Aceh. He argued that to achieve the vision of Golden Indonesia, the quality of young people’s human resources (HR) is very important. Investment in HR development will have a positive long-term impact on the future of the nation. By facilitating young people through innovative programs, Rahmad is confident that the young generation will be ready to face future challenges.
As part of efforts to improve food security, AMANAH Building is also a location for the development of the biofloc system, which is an environmentally friendly and efficient cultivation technology. According to the biofloc manager, Alimnur Haladin, the biofloc system was chosen because it is able to carry out cultivation in efficient tarpaulin ponds, without requiring a large area of land. This technology is very suitable for Islamic boarding school environments that may have limited land resources.
Through this training, the younger generation is taught to manage aquaculture independently, which is expected to be a source of income for the local economy and surrounding communities. This vaname shrimp cultivation program not only offers innovative solutions in the fisheries sector, but also prioritizes the education and economic empowerment aspects of the younger generation. With training from AMANAH, the younger generation will learn to manage cultivation with a biofloc system, which is expected to encourage an entrepreneurial spirit and shape them into young entrepreneurs in the future. Alimnur also hopes that this kind of training will continue to be implemented throughout Aceh and local institutions to be economically independent and become an example of entrepreneurial development in Aceh.
The success of the AMANAH Building cannot be separated from the support of various parties, including the government, private sector, and the community. This cross-sector collaboration is expected to strengthen the economic ecosystem in Aceh, where each party has a role in supporting inclusive and sustainable growth. This building will be a center of activity that can be accessed by all levels of society, with programs that focus on economic empowerment, skills training, and technology development.
Through various leading programs focused on seven strategic sectors, Gedung AMANAH is expected to not only be a place of learning, but also a center of innovation that encourages young people to actively contribute to regional development. Sectors such as the biofloc system and the development of modern greenhouses are an important part of this program, creating new sustainable opportunities in agriculture and fisheries. With an approach that prioritizes environmentally friendly technology, Gedung AMANAH is committed to preparing Acehnese youth to face global challenges while maintaining environmental sustainability.
The existence of the AMANAH Building is not just about creating a physical space for youth activities, but also a symbol of hope and potential for future generations. In the long term, it is hoped that this building can be a driver of change that encourages youth to innovate, create new job opportunities, and contribute to creating an inclusive and sustainable economy. With the active involvement of youth in the programs held, Aceh will have a generation that is not only ready to face global challenges, but also able to lead in creating solutions that are relevant and have a positive impact on society.
Thus, AMANAH Building has the potential to play a central role in building a better future for Aceh. Through shared commitment, dedication, and a spirit of collaboration, it is hoped that this building will become a place where innovation and creativity thrive, producing young people who are ready to become agents of change. Looking ahead, the success of the programs implemented at AMANAH Building will be a reflection of our collective commitment to creating a brighter and more prosperous future for all Acehnese people.
