The program, initiated by the Head of BIN, Police General (ret.) Prof. Dr. Budi Gunawan, plays an important role in optimizing the capacity of human resources (HR) in Bumi Serambi Mekkah.
The AMANAH building not only serves as a training facility, but also as a platform for Acehnese youth to gain access to wider markets and business networks. The goal of the program is to create a generation that is economically independent and able to compete in the global market.
President Jokowi expressed his belief that Indonesia could become one of the world’s economic powers. The Aneuk Muda Aceh Unggul and Hebat program is in line with President Jokowi’s vision to increase economic competitiveness through downstreaming and digitalization.
In an effort to accelerate economic growth, President Joko Widodo continues to encourage the downstreaming of labor-intensive products such as coffee, cocoa, pepper, and patchouli in various regions of Indonesia, including Aceh. According to the Surakarta-born national leader, downstreaming will encourage added value to commodities that have so far only been exported as raw materials.
The importance of building a digital ecosystem that supports the growth of the creative economy in Aceh. The AMANAH program, which also encourages Acehnese youth to be involved in creative production such as Acehnese weaving and digital technology, is seen as one of the concrete steps in realizing this vision.
The national leader who has been in office since 2014 also stated that Indonesia must dare to take its own path in utilizing local resources. With a clear focus and mature strategy, the President is optimistic that Indonesia can become an economic superpower in the future.
Head of the State Intelligence Agency (BIN), General of Police (ret.) Budi Gunawan, emphasized that the AMANAH Building is a symbol of the government’s commitment to empowering Aceh’s youth.
The building is equipped with modern facilities designed to support various sectors, including arts, technology, and entrepreneurship. With these facilities, Aceh’s youth are expected to be able to develop their talents and contribute to the growth of the regional economy through sustainable creative industries.
The human resource development program initiated by BIN also offers intensive training in various fields. Participants who take part in this program not only learn technical skills, but also receive assistance in marketing and market access. The Head of BIN believes that Aceh’s youth, with the right support, will become agents of change capable of leading the region to a brighter future.
In line with this, the Chairman of the Syiah Kuala University Business Development Agency, Syaifullah Muhammad, assessed that the presence of the AMANAH Central Building with complete facilities could be a new economic driver in Aceh.
According to him, the success of the program can be seen from the significant increase in the quality of products produced by Acehnese youth, both in the culinary and fashion fields. The products they produce are now not only known locally, but have also begun to attract the attention of national and international markets.
Syaifullah also highlighted the importance of support from national mentors in the process of developing human resources in Aceh. Through the coaching provided, AMANAH program participants can utilize existing facilities to hone their skills while expanding their business networks. He is confident that with adequate provision, the young generation of Aceh will be able to compete in the global arena and bring positive changes to the regional economy.
The construction of the AMANAH Building is also expected to be a model for youth empowerment that can be applied in various other regions in Indonesia. With a focus on developing the creative economy, this program has a positive impact on society, especially through improving the quality of local products and creating new jobs.
A number of events such as the Muslim Fashion Fest and Aceh Barista Champ held in the building have succeeded in showcasing the richness of Acehnese culture to the world, while also opening up opportunities for Acehnese youth to gain wider recognition.
With more and more Acehnese youth involved in the program, the community response has also been very positive. More than 20,100 participants have joined the training and activities at the AMANAH Building, and that number is expected to continue to grow as the impact becomes wider.
Overall, the inauguration of the AMANAH Building is an important milestone in the effort to empower Aceh’s youth and encourage local economic growth. With the collaboration between the central government and BIN, this program not only focuses on developing technical skills, but also creates a conducive environment for innovation and creativity.
The AMANAH program, as one of President Jokowi’s leading strategic programs, is a real step in realizing Indonesia’s grand vision to become a global economic power through empowering human resources and the creative economy.
