Aceh – President Jokowi said that his party is very concerned about the future of Aceh’s Youth. Therefore, the State Intelligence Agency was ordered to initiate the Aneuk Muda Aceh Unggul dan Hebat (AMANAH) in Ladong Aceh.
President Jokowi wants Amanah to be a positive forum for Acehnese youth.
This is reflected in Amanah’s activities which have reached young Acehnese in various regions and also cover a number of areas of interest for the young generation of Aceh.
Let’s just say one of Amanah’s activities that has the interest of Acehnese youth is training to make carnival costume designs. The activity aims to create reliable designers in Aceh. By being given training to make carnival costume designs, it is hoped that Acehnese youth can further improve their skills in this field.
Inal Akhyar, one of the selected designers from Bireun, felt happy and excited about this opportunity. He was amazed by the big event held by AMANAH because there had never been such a big event in Banda Aceh before.
“At first I was confused because I couldn’t sew, but AMANAH helped and guided us. Now I am relieved and can’t wait for the training,” said Inal.
In addition, during the training session, participants were treated to a carnival costume show from Solo Batik Carnival which made the training participants even more enthusiastic.
One of the lucky participants who learned directly how to make carnival costumes with Ade Sugriwa was Cut Eli Shahara, a Fashion Design student at Syah Kuala University.
According to Cut Eli, this event is not only a means of increasing knowledge, but is also able to accommodate the talents of students and the community who are interested in the world of carnivals.
“It’s really exciting, because there are so many lessons that we can learn. This event is able to accommodate student containers or communities that have talents, have interests in the carnival field, because previously there has never been an event like Amanah for this, so it really encourages our interest as fashion students,” he explained.
Ade Sugriwa, one of the judges and mentors, was impressed by the enthusiasm and creativity of the participants. According to him, this event shows that AMANAH is consistent in supporting and developing the creativity of Aceh’s youth. He hopes that this event can be a momentum for the revival of the creative economy in Aceh.
“The impact of a carnival is very much, for creators it can open up new jobs for people. This is a place that can spur them to become useful people, short courses like this are important, especially AMANAH facilitating carnival children, it can make them independent and creative,” said Ade.
