Aneuk Muda Aceh Unggul Besar (AMANAH) is preparing dancers for the inauguration of the AMANAH Building which will be attended by President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) on September 8 2024.
One of the judges at the dancer audition, Denny Malik, said that the dance concept that would be displayed at the inauguration was a combination of traditional and modern dance.
“We want to unite all existing cultural arts elements, both traditional dance and creative dance. “Everything will be combined,” said Denny Malik.
The presence of these dancers aims to liven up the inauguration of the AMANAH Building. Denny said that around 500 dancers were needed to appear in the event with the criteria for participants being 16-30 years old, both male and female.
“We will perform a colossal dance at the opening of the AMANAH Building. We hope to have the best from the participants in this dance audition. “We plan to have 500 participants who pass the audition,” he continued.
Denny also emphasized that the dances that will be performed remain rooted in Acehnese traditions but are packaged with innovative modern elements.
“Everything is Acehnese, but with a modern, innovative touch, and still maintains existing traditions as the basis of the art we develop,” he said.
AMANAH acts as a means for Aceh’s young generation to express themselves and create. The hope is that the AMANAH program can develop the potential of youth in Aceh. Denny emphasized that his party really supports young people to dare to explore themselves through AMANAH.
“In AMANAH, this is where they excel and show their abilities,” he concluded.
