Jakarta – The Nusantara Student Dormitory (AMN) is considered capable of optimizing the entire potential of the nation’s young generation by increasing their competitiveness.
Director of Strategic Infrastructure of the Directorate General of Human Settlements, Ministry of PUPR, Essy Asiah, revealed that the aim of developing AMN is as a forum for uniting students.
Furthermore, Essy explained that those from various tribes, cultures, languages and religions in Indonesia were able to unite under one roof at AMN.
Not only that, but optimization of the entire potential of the younger generation also occurs because Essy explained that in this dormitory students can share ideas in discussing various current issues.
“It is also a space for students to share ideas and discuss social and political issues that are relevant to national development,” he said.
He said that AMN would create an environment to support collaboration, creativity and brotherhood.
“AMN does not only focus on physical development, but also creates an environment that really supports collaboration, creativity and brotherhood,” explained Essy Asiah.
Meanwhile, the Head of the North Sulawesi Regional Settlement Infrastructure Center (BPPW Sulut), Nurdiana Habibie, revealed that the existence of AMN is not only a physical building.
However, the government’s strategic program through the initiation of BIN has also become a center for activities to support the self-development of young people.
Through various education in AMN, he said, the younger generation will grow in their love for the Republic of Indonesia.
“At AMN, students not only stay, but also receive training and education that fosters love for the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia (NKRI) and increases their competitiveness in various fields,” said Nurdiana.
On the other hand, Child and Women Observer, Dr. Femmy Eka Kartika Putri said that youth development has an important and strategic role in creating advanced, quality and competitive human resources.
In fact, the entire young generation in Indonesia has great potential to contribute to aspects of nation development.
“They have great potential to contribute to every aspect of national development, especially in efforts to advance the economy,” said Femmy.
Because of the important role of the young generation, the government is realizing AMN’s strategic program which is able to increase their competitiveness and optimize their full potential.
