Bali – Indonesia is holding the High-Level Forum on Multi-Stakeholder Partnerships (HLF MSP) 2024 from 1 to 3 September 2024 in Bali. This forum is an important event to safely strengthen global development cooperation that is more inclusive, effective, and sustainable.
Deputy for Politics, Law, and Security of the Ministry of PPN/Bappenas, Bogat Widyatmoko said that by carrying the theme “Strengthening Multi-Stakeholder Partnerships: Towards a Transformative Change”, HLF MSP 2024 is the foundation for the Summit of the Future which will be held in New York on 22-23 September 2024.
“The keywords in the HLF MSP forum are transformation, collaboration, cooperation, and sustainability. These are all the motivations for Indonesia in facing global challenges and realizing transformation and inclusiveness of development,” said Bogat.
HLF MSP 2024 also features 102 global speakers from various backgrounds, including government, private sector, academia, philanthropy, NGOs, and international organizations.
“We are very optimistic, the number of participants that has continued to increase in the last few days shows great enthusiasm from various parties,” explained Bogat.
Meanwhile, the Director General of Asia Pacific and Africa at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Abdul Kadir Jailani, said that the economic impact of IAF 2024 is also not trivial.
In this year’s IAF, there have been several agreements between companies in Indonesia and Africa. Among them is the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding on geothermal development between PT PLN and Tanesco Tanzania,” said Abdul Kadir Jailani.
Then there is a master agreement on health technology transfer cooperation between Biofarma and Atlantic Lifescience Limited, Ghana. “In terms of value, this forum is estimated to produce business deals worth at least US$3.5 billion,” he concluded;
