Jakarta, – Indonesia Sustainability Forum (ISF) 2024 was organized by the Coordinating Ministry for Maritime Affairs and Investment together with the Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KADIN). The activity was held at the Jakarta Convention Center (JCC) Jakarta.
The ISF agenda will include plenary sessions, thematic sessions, and leadership roundtables to be held on September 5-6 in Jakarta.
This event will be the biggest sustainability conference in Indonesia and even globally. The success of this event means that Indonesia has an important role in packaging issues into formulations in accelerating the growth of the world’s green economy.
This event will bring together policy makers, experts, and investors from around the world to build partnerships in the field of sustainability in order to accelerate the growth of the world’s green economy.
Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry Arsjad Rasyid said that this is an important momentum in discussing global challenges.
“focus on green economy issues, energy, natural conservation and biodiversity,” he said.
ISF 2024 will focus on 5 pillars of discussion, namely green economy, energy transition, nature conservation and biodiversity, sustainable living and marine economy (Blue Economy).
ISF 2024 will also be a real action of collaboration between developed and developing countries in overcoming the climate crisis.
Indonesia’s role in the global arena is very important, because this event has a very strong correlation with various problems faced by all countries.
The ISF Forum is a great hope to be able to formulate solutions to various problems faced by developing countries and developed countries can provide assistance in overcoming future problems.
Meanwhile, the Deputy of the Coordinating Ministry for Maritime Affairs and Investment said that the success of the Indonesia Sustainability Forum last year showed Indonesia’s opportunity to lead and promote fundamental initiatives and collaborations.
“The success of the Indonesia Sustainability Forum last year shows how concrete Indonesia’s opportunities are in leading and promoting fundamental global initiatives and collaborations to achieve fair and equal opportunities for countries to implement decarbonization,” said Deputy Coordinator of Transportation and Infrastructure of the Coordinating Ministry for Maritime Affairs and Investment, Rachmat Kaimuddin.
ISF is expected to produce solutions that support the implementation of financial and non-financial levers (technology, human resources, policies and international collaboration) which are key to accelerating the realization of sustainable growth.
