Jakarta – The Indonesian government is urging countries participating in the 2024 International Sustainability Forum (ISF) to immediately agree on accelerating the growth of the World Green Economy so that countries in the world can anticipate the increasingly real threat of global climate change.
This was conveyed by the Deputy Coordinator of Transportation and Infrastructure of the Coordinating Ministry for Maritime Affairs and Investment (Kemenko Marves), Rachmat Kaimuddin, when met by the media crew in Jakarta.
According to him, the 2024 ISF will bring together policy makers, experts, and investors from all over the world to build partnerships in the field of sustainability, in order to accelerate the growth of the world’s green economy.
“Of course, the 2024 International Sustainability Forum (ISF) will be the largest sustainability conference in Indonesia and even globally. This event will bring together policy makers, experts, and investors from all over the world to build partnerships in the field of sustainability in order to accelerate the growth of the world’s green economy,” he said.
Not only that, ISF 2024 will also be a real action of collaboration between developed and developing countries in overcoming the climate crisis, he added.
ISF is expected to produce solutions that support the implementation of financial and non-financial levers (technology, human resources, policies and international collaboration) which are the key to accelerating the realization of sustainable growth, he concluded.
ISF 2024 will focus on 5 pillars of discussion, namely green economy, energy transition, nature conservation and biodiversity, sustainable living and marine economy (Blue Economy), explained Rachmat.
“We invite 250 speakers, as well as several heads of state and officials from various countries. We estimate the number of participants to be around 5,000, and there are more than 20 topics that we will discuss,” he said.
According to Rachmat, ISF 2024 will also be a real action of collaboration between developed and developing countries in overcoming the climate crisis. So that it can create collaboration for the key to accelerating the realization of sustainable growth.
